Labor Senator Murray Watt says the talk about vaccine incentives such as lottery tickets or beer “shows the level of desperation” the government has reached with its rollout.
“Who would have thought we would have to provide incentives in lottery tickets and things like that to people to get a vaccine that will keep them safe,” he said.
“But that’s where we’ve got to in this country that this vaccine rollout has been stuffed up so badly that we’ve now got to be inventing incentives to get people to do something that keeps them safe”.
