The Indian government is reportedly considering changing the country's official name to 'Bharat' during a special session of Parliament. The move is seen as a dig against the opposition alliance called INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance). The government is also said to be preparing a roadmap to make India a developed country by 2047. The matter is likely to be taken up for a discussion in Parliament's special session from September 18-22, 2023.
