India's security directive on telecom to cover all connected devices by 2027: NCSC, ET Telecom

Cybersecurity: ET reported in March that the government was working on new security rules for smartphones that would mandate screening of operating system updates before being rolled out to users, as part of moves to counter any snooping attempts from countries such as China. The rules would also give users the power to remove pre-installed applications, officials and executives had said.
