Indian students share experience in quarantine at US university [The Rolla Daily News, Mo.] Dec. 16—As Missouri University of Science and Technology prepares for the start of its spring semester on Jan. 19. 2021, university staff members make plans to ease the transition for international students starting school during the pandemic. COVID-19-related closures around the world this past year made enrollment in foreign colleges and universities difficult. But seven graduate students from India made it to the United States to begin their studies at Missouri S&T in October. Rahul Kumar had worked in the information technology industry in Bangalore, India, for over seven years before deciding to pursue a master’s degree in computer science at Missouri S&T. Kumar, who earned a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering from SRM University in New Delhi, says S&T’s reputation led him to apply for study in Rolla.
