INDIANA COUNTY DRUG TAKEBACK DAY MOST SUCCESSFUL IN LOCAL PROGRAM’S HISTORY

Indiana County saw a record collection on Saturday as part of National Drug Takeback Day.

The Armstrong, Indiana and Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission along with the Indiana County Sherriff’s office, Diamond Drug of Indiana and Rite Aid of Blairsville held drug takeback day events at the two pharmacies.  People could bring their unused, unwanted or expired prescription or over-the-counter medicine to those sites for disposal.  This year, the drug takeback effort also included vaping materials.
