Indiana House votes to override Gov. Eric Holcomb's veto of emergency powers bill Kaitlin Lange, Indianapolis Star Replay Video UP NEXT The Indiana House voted to override Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb's veto of a bill that would shift some power from the governor to the legislative branch during an emergency. The Republican-dominated House approved the override by a 59-26 vote. None of the lawmakers present for the vote changed their vote since the bill passed last week. The vote comes after a year of push back on Holcomb's executive orders on masks and business restrictions from the more conservative members of his own party. Holcomb himself dropped the mask mandate and all other restrictions at the beginning of the month, but it wasn't enough to stop House Enrolled Act 1123.
