The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Thursday urged the service chiefs to deploy more troops to the state to tackle criminals. Makinde, according to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Taiwo Adisa, made the call when he hosted the service chiefs at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office in Agodi, Ibadan. The governor was represented at the forum by his deputy, Rauf Olaniyan. Those on the military delegation were the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. Gen. Lucky Irabor; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Isiaka Amao; the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Zubairu Gambo; Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major Gen. S.A. Adebayo; the General officer Commanding (GOC) Second Mechanised Division, Ibadan, Major Gen. Anthony B. Omozoje and other senior officers.
