Investigation continues into racist letters weeks after Portland leaders receive them

But several people targeted by the letters have said they’re skeptical about the investigation, and that officers have not contacted them in the weeks after the threats were made.
Some people who were threatened have also raised concerns that the mayor has not contacted them, despite pledging to do so publicly.
The letters, which target activists, journalists and city officials, threaten violence against many people who have been prominent in the nightly protests against anti-Black racism and police brutality.
