Supplied Telco Singtel Optus says it has switched on its first six 5G mmWave commercial sites in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane even as it reached a million 5G-capable devices on its network. In a statement, Optus said the mmWave sites used the 800Mhz spectrum bandwidth, which meant much higher speeds though the telco will have to put in place more towers due to the shorter transmission.
