Jeff Luttrell and Aimee Wyatt were selected Thursday as the final two candidates to be the next Wilson County director of schools. Wilson County School Board members voted for their top two choices. The two candidates with the most total votes moved on. Luttrell is presently the human resources supervisor with Wilson County Schools, now in his second year in the position. Luttrell previously was the principal at Watertown High School in Wilson County for 12 years. Luttrell has been in education 27 years, has taught social studies and coached multiple sports. "You'll hear me talk a lot about, through this process, of culture, day-to-day culture. I think it's the No. 1 thing we can do to improve and ensure success," Luttrell said at his earlier interview before the board last week.
