FALMOUTH — It's been 47 years, but Jeffrey Marotta still hasn't forgotten about Thomas Summers. When he was 10 years old, Marotta had a cardiac event. Summers, then a seasonal officer with the Falmouth Police Department, performed CPR, saving his life. About a month ago, Marotta, now 57, found an old newspaper clipping about the incident and was inspired to try to find the officer. “I always had this in my mind that I wanted to find him," he said. "I wanted to say thank you.” Searching through a local library search engine, he found two results for Tom Summers. One of them was Summers’ son. He called the son, who put the two men in touch.
