Holiday giant Jet2 has asked its pilots to avoid booking time off this summer in a sign that travel firms expect Britons to be able to take foreign breaks in sunshine spots such as Greece after lockdown ends.
Jet2, which operates flights and package holidays to more than 30 European destinations, has cancelled all holidays until mid-April after the Government imposed tougher border restrictions and quarantine rules.
But the request to about 1,000 UK-based pilots signals the vaccine rollout could yet save the summer holiday season.
