Through this cooperative agreement, JFF will provide direct, hands-on training and support to employers, education and training providers, and community organizations to help them increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in U.S. apprenticeships. "While apprenticeship is a time-honored and effective strategy for workforce development, we also recognize the need to retool and redesign historic practices for new workforce realities—and address longstanding disparities in employment and economic advancement," said Maria Flynn, president and CEO of JFF. "This work is about helping to ensure that the Registered Apprenticeship model can fulfill its historic promise and better reflect the vast diversity of the American worker today."
