Jim Bachmeier, who carries over 30 years of experience in higher education, serves
as Ferris State University's Vice President for Administration and Finance.
Bachmeier has a strong record of administrative, financial, operational and professional
accomplishments and community engagement. He is a certified public accountant with
extensive higher education experience at Grand Valley State University and Western
Nebraska Community College.
Bachmeier serves as the chief financial officer of the University, as a member of
the President’s executive team, and as treasurer of The Ferris Foundation. He oversees
Auxiliary Enterprises (including Residential Life and Dining Services), Finance, Human
