IN JUST three days, over 100,000 people have signed a petition calling for a memorial plaque in honour of FolajimI Olubunmi-Adewole, known to his friends as Jimi.
Signatories would like the plaque to be placed on London Bridge “to honour his bravery and act of heroism”.
20-year-old Olubunmi-Adewole jumped into the River Thames on Saturday night, with a friend to rescue a woman who had fallen in.
He was on his way back from a work shift at The Cinnamon Club, an Indian fine dining restaurant at around midnight when he saw the woman in distress.
