Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Sadler to a vacancy on the same court, formally known as the 10th District Court of Appeals, allowing her to complete a term that runs through December 2022. Sadler is completing her third term on the court, which handles appeals for Franklin County courts as well as those involving numerous state agencies. She will switch to Brunner's former seat on Monday, according to the governor's office, and must run in November 2022 for a full term. Sadler was defeated in November by Franklin County Juvenile Court Judge Terri B. Jamison, who will move to the appeals court bench on July 1.
