Kalamazoo County participating in risk-limiting audit City of Kalamazoo and last updated 2021-01-13 17:40:03-05 KALAMAZOO, Mich. â Alongside other jurisdictions the City of Kalamazoo will participate in a state-wide risk-limiting audit of the election results from November. Risk-limiting audits confirm the accuracy of election results via hand counts of randomly selected ballots with the reported results from tabulation machines. Over 18,000 ballots are expected to be reviewed according to Kalamazoo County. âDedicated people and robust processes ensure that elections in Kalamazoo County and the State of Michigan are always conducted fairly, securely, and with integrity,â explained Scott Borling, Kalamazoo City Clerk. âThis audit will further affirm the results of the 2020 general election and should reinforce public trust in in our elections.â
