Parts of Adelaide have been blanketed in an orange haze as a sudden dust storm swept across South Australia today. Winds of more than 70km/h blasted topsoil through the state's mid-north with health warnings issued for several regions. Roads in the mid-north were closed due to the wild weather with emergency crews called out to a multi-car crash on Balaklava Road, Balaklava where five were injured. READ MORE: Witnesses told 9News the conditions turned suddenly, with the dust becoming thicker in a matter of moments as motorists were left stranded for hours in the low-visibility traffic. The majority of damage from the windstorm was fallen trees with close to 40 callouts to emergency crews.
