Share Updated: 4:22 PM CDT May 22, 2021 Kansas City, Missouri Police are investigating after a driver struck two pedestrians, killing one and injuring the other.It happened around 1 p.m. Saturday on Chestnut Trafficway under the Lexington Bridge. Police say two pedestrians were walking along the side of the road when a Ford pickup hit them. The Ford continued to drive southbound before hitting another vehicle at Independence and Chestnut. One pedestrian, a 43-year-0ld man from Kansas City, Missouri, died at the scene. The other pedestrian, a 41-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri, was taken to a hospital in serious condition.The driver of the Ford, a 38-year-old Kansas City man, was taken to a hospital and listed as stable. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
