It was a very busy night for firefighters in contra costa county. In fact, firefighters had their hands full with brush fires burning between bay point and brentwood. This is where a grass fire came close to an apartment complex at lone tree way. It may have been sparked by a remnants of a professional Fireworks Show that ended moments earlier. Illegal fireworks have displaced four people in san jose. Officials say a neighbors fireworks landed in the backyard of a home just before 10 00 last night. It quickly started a twoalarm fire that spread to the fight. To the house. The back of the home suffered moderate damage. The flames were put out in about 25 minutes. Oakland firefighters responded to another illegal fireworks fire on skyline boulevard. It was just before 10 00 when a vegetation fire broke out about 200 feet off the road. Fire Officials Say bystanders confirmed the accidental blaze was started by fireworks. It grew to about a quarter acre but was very difficult to get to because of steep terrain and tall vegetation. It happened around 3 30 yesterday afternoon. He was getting towed behind some type of personal watercraft when he fell in.
