News they dont want to hear this morning. Theyve got to keep an eye on the atlantic where three storms are currently brewing. One of them is likely to hit some of the islands that have already been decimated by irma. Were going to start with rob keeping his eye on the three storms in the atlantic. Here are your three storms, lee, maria and jose. Jose were going to have to contend with in the near term, 400 miles or so off the coast of north carolina, a strong and enlarging hurricane. It will weaken once it hits cooler waters near new england. How close it gets to the shoreline will determine exactly what kind of impacts we have from the delmarva across parts of the outer banks and the new england coastline. Dangerous surf, rip currents and gusty winds. Some winds could be in excess of Tropical Storm strength. Maria, this is quickly organizing east of the caribbean islands and will likely become a hurricane today. Its not a small one. Expected to become a major barbuda, st. Maarten, hurricanes decimated, seeing a category 3 on wednesday. Thursday potentially over puerto rico and beyond that making a run maybe towards the u. S. Well deal with that later. Right now this thing is strengthening as we recover from irma in the u. S. Dan, paula, back to you. Obviously nerves are frayed. Thank you, rob. There are about 20 neighborhoods where checkpoints are still set up. Those areas are very hard hit. Half of key west is without power. Across the state, more than 600 thousand customers are still without power as well. Dan and paula . So many emotions. It will be a long road to recovery. As people in florida recover, the situation may be even more dire out in the caribbean. Paradise islands, famous paradise islands, devastated. Including the island of st. So the departure lounges, such as they are, are tents propped up in the parking lot. Country by country with ducttaped flags and plywood signs. Im here since 5 00. Upwards of 90 of the economy is tourismbased. Look at what irma has done. All of these buildings are hotels. None of them will open any time soon. Among the passengers boarding the cruise ship, hotel owners mike and fawnette. Their beachfront b b, the azure beach hotel, a total loss. The azure hotel is destroyed but were going to be demolishing and rebuilding it and opening hopefully in a year. Reporter full recovery is clearly going to take some time. The Terror Threat level remains high. Thanks for reporting from london this morning. We want to bring in our chief anchor, George Stephanopoulos who hosts this week later this among. Good morning. You have an exclusive with britains Prime Minister, theresa may. We want to play a clip. President trump tweeted this morning that the solution is a bigger, tougher travel ban. Thats an idea you have been against. Is it something you would reconsider . I think what is important is that were able to have the powers to look into people, to identify people who may be wanting to cause us harm and are plotting to cause us harm and to be able to take the necessary action when people do cause harm. As it happens, here in the united kingdom, when i was home secretary, i banned more extremist hate speeches, excluded them from coming to the u. K. Than any home secretary before. Do you anticipate trump trying to use the situation this britain to continue pushing his travel ban . Thats what we saw on friday morning. As this was breaking, the president has the tweets. He did want a bigger, tougher travel ban. Though hes had so much trouble with the travel ban already this place. Unclear that hes actually going to push this. In fact, im going to ask his security adviser, general h. R. Mcmaster, about that this morning. The president jumped on this before knowing fully what happened. I talked to the Prime Minister about the tweet where he said these people were known to scotland yard. It appeared he may have gotten that information from fox friends. She was actually quite riled by this. She said people shouldnt be speculating about whos behind this or whether they were known to police. Other stories brewing in the political sphere including a report over the weekend that President Trump might not pull out of the paris climate accord. The white house shoot it down. They didnt quite shoot it down. It was a startling headline in the wall street journal. Coming out of this Climate Conference where a number of u. S. Representatives were speaking, also a number of european officials. Unclear exactly whats happening. I want to press general mcmaster on that this morning. The United States may be trying to stay in the accord now but having lower levels of emissions cutbacks than we have had in the past. The president was quite clear saying we will withdraw from the climate accord. That appears to be in question. Well try to get some clarity today. What do you make of the overt effort to woo democrats. Cozying up with chuck and nancy. Having dinner with them. What do you make of whats going on . Is it a strategy . Clearly, the president has something in mind. Were not sure what. That was a real surprise to especially Republican Leaders in congress. A lot of people in President Trumps base this week when he seemed to cut that deal with nancy pelosi and Chuck Schumer over the dreamers. The 800,000 immigrants who came here as children. Unknown if that will go through or be put into place. The president is clearly angry with Republican Leaders in congress. Clearly frustrated that he hasnt been able to get much done with complete republican control of government. Looking for a new way out. How long this will last is anyones guess. But it has shaken up washington this week. Thats what the president promised to do when he was elected. Well talk about that on the roundtable this morning. Keeps us all guessing, thats for sure. Thank you, george. You can see much more of georges interview later this morning on this week. Hell go one on one with the White House National security adviser h. R. Mcmaster and House Intelligence CommitteeRanking Congress member adam schiff, plus the powerhouse roundtable. Thank you, george. Thank you. Another breaking story overnight.
