Las vegas police are calling her a person of interest hoping she can give them insight into stephen paddocks motive for the massacre. Police released new body camera footage of the incident showing the confusion and panic as officers tried to determine where that gunfire was coming from. Investigators say paddock fired shots from the mandalay bay for 11 minutes killing 58 people in the crowd below. We now know three victims did have bay area ties. 32yearold michelle vo is a san jose native living in Southern California and working as an insurance agent. 57yearold denise cohen grew up in san ramon but lived in Santa Barbara where she work as property manager. Stacee etcheber was a mother of two, her husband a San Francisco police officer. He ran to help victims and told stacee to run for safety. Friends, relatives, total strangers even gathered at a vigilfor stacee in reporter good morning, reggie. Hundreds of people gathered to honor Stacee Etcheber and to support her family. Her husband, officer Vinnie Etcheber, now without his wife, their 10yearold son and 13yearold daughter now without their mom. The crowd at San Ramon School offered words of comfort bringing light to a very dark hour for the family. Stacees brotherinlaw believes she died trying to help others wounded in the crowd. People describe stacee as a role model parent with an amazing spirit. If stacee was here tonight we would hear her say, hey, toots, ive got you. Hold on. Reporter Vinnie Etcheber was supported by nearly a dozen San Francisco motorcycle officers. Thats the unit he once rode with. The San Francisco Police Department is vowing to support the etcheber family and the Police Officers association has set up a gofundme account in stacees honor raising more than 100,000 so far.
