Hey, good morning. Paula is off this morning. Happy to have ace White House Correspondent cecilia vega in again. She wrote on my script here i youre not supposed to spill secrets. Also, by the way, excited to have tony reali pinchhitting for adrienne here. Like how i used that sport term . Pinch hitting, yes. What sport is that from . Thats from volleyball. Lets stop exposing my lack of sports knowledge and get right to breaking news. Its weather news. A rough day for the east coast. Take a look at the map. Storms from north to south. Yeah, Tropical Storm philippe hitting florida. As we speak. This video. Take a look. Gives you the sense of just how power the power of this storm. A tree crashing down on cars. Weve got Team Coverage this morning. Rob is here tracking it all. And Victor Oquendo is on the ground in miami. Lets start with you, rob. Well, philippe, not very organized. Not very strong. You saw some of the damage there. Four reports of tornadoes across south florida. The center just south of miami. Its lopsided. Much of the action now is out to sea. But, this is part of a bigger system that will create a mess across the northeast. Trough is digging down across the southeast. It will pick up part if not all of philippe. And bring it up the east coast. Were starting to see that rain. Were starting to feel the tropical air mass. Across the northeast. This cold front, this low will combine with philippe. Not just heavy rain, but tropical heavy rain. Bigtime winds. Thats beginning later on this afternoon. Getting into the overnight tonight. Damaging winds in excess of 50 miles an hour. So charge your stuff tonight. Be prepared for blackouts. Maybe tomorrow morning. This is all part of what we mentioned with philippe. With more of the impacts on philippe we go live to mime beach and Victor Oquendo. Good morning, victor. Reporter good morning, rob. Miami beach drenched overnight. Were still feeling the winds and the rains as well, right along the water here. Tropical storm philippe raced by but definitely left its mark. Pounding south florida with rain a number of tornados also touching down. Four reported throughout the area from southwest miamidade up to palm beach county. We start in west palm beach. Take a look at this video. North of here this camera rolling on a twister forming in the distance. Wind gusts of 75 Miles Per Hour recorded along i95. Rainfall totals exceeding six inches in some spots. And in boynton beach, a Mobile Home Park hit very hard. Fire rescue crews responding. Homes in that area damaged debris throughout the neighborhood. Thankfully for everyone here in south florida, no major injuries reported. This morning, people will be cleaning up and drying out. Dan . Cecilia . A big clean up indeed. Well keep an eye on this. Victor, thank you. New developments overnight in washington. Sources confirming to abc news that special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team have filed the first criminal charges in the russia investigation. An indictment and arrest could come as soon as tomorrow. Who could be the target . Abcs david wright is at the white house. David, good morning to you. Reporter good morning, dan and cecilia. This white house is girding for battle this morning. They know that the first indictment is about to drop in the russia probe. Like us, theyre not sure who is about to be charged. Call it russian roulette. The first criminal charges imminent in the independent counsels investigation of russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible collusion by trump associates. We didnt win because of russia. We won because of you. Reporter abc news has confirmed that a senior prosecutor from Robert Muellers office, who specializes in fraud cases, was at the federal courthouse in washington friday, where the grand jury was in session. Muellers team filed papers with the court. Sources tell abc news an arrest could come as soon as tomorrow. But who . The special counsels office declines to say. Abc news reached out to former Trump Campaign chair Paul Manaforts legal team, who tell us manafort has no indication that any charges against him could be imminent. We reached out to former National Security adviser mike flynns team. No response. The president himself has long dismissed the investigation as a politically motivated witch hunt. The whole russia thing was an excuse for the democrats losing the election and it turns out to be just one excuse. Reporter his allies are on the warpath this weekend. Former Campaign DirectorCorey Lewandowski on fox friends. The speculation is so insane. What we should be focusing on are the continued lies of the clinton administration. Reporter adviser roger stone took to twitter friday night to call out cnn reporters who broke to story. His language so derogatory, and in some cases, homophobic, that twitter suspended him. In an interview with the New York Times before news of the indictment broke, the white house lawyer said the president is not worried. The president has no concerns in terms of any impact as to what happens to them on his campaign or on the white house. Reporter again, that interview given before news of this indictment broke. As for roger stone, hes taking his twitter suspension as a badge of honor. He texted our own Katherine Faulders overnight saying, sometimes the stark truth offends some people. Stark vowed terminator style ill be back. Dan and cecilia . Im sure he will. He will. David, thank you. We want to bring in our chief anchor, George Stephanopoulos. Hell be hosting this week. Good morning. Good morning, guys. Give us perspective. We dont have much information at this point about who is going to be charged. How significant a development do these charges have the potential to be . It depends on who it is. I mean, i think youre right. We dont really know all that much right now. We know muellers been at work for five months. We know reaching an indictment in that time is relatively quick. The fact that we dont know who it is when we find out who it is that will reveal a lot more about muellers strategy. Is it someone close to the white house . Is he going straight to the top . Is it someone relatively lower level that perhaps mueller and his team hope to flip and get informs on those higher up the chain . We just dont know the answer. What we do know is that mueller has hired a serious team of federal prosecutors. We know apparently that that first indictment will be announced tomorrow. That shows that this is a serious investigation. Likely to go on for some time. George, you know this, the white house, the president himself has long maintained this is a witch hunt. Its something we hear from him over and over again. How much longer can they can he continue to use this line of defense . I dont think anything is going to stop the president from using that language all throughout the investigation, no matter what mueller finds. Although, the president , as you just reported david wright just reported his lawyers are saying, listen, he has nothing to worry about. His actions, however, say he has a lot to worry about. Beginning with his firing of fbi director james comey which led to the appointment of this special counsel, robert mueller. The white house has a strategy of tarnishing the entire investigation. No matter what it finds. Which is why theyre raising a lot of questions about past actions of former secretary of state clinton and others in the obama administration. Theyre trying to muddy up the waters in that way, hoping to color whatever actions mueller takes. George, thank you very much. I want to remind everybody. George has a big show this morning. Hell speak with new Jersey Governor Chris Christie and congressman adam schiff. A member of the House Intelligence Committee about the latest in the russia investigation. Plus, the founder of the me too movement joins the show. All coming up on this week later this morning. George, thank you again. Definitely a big day in politics. We look forward to that show.
