Reporter those were the words 54yearold Nicole Kennedy told her daughter before they wheeled her into surgery at high land hospital. She was coming down to take the dog walking. Reporter that was at about 10 00 this morning here in the 2600 block of 63rd avenue. Two pit bulls apparently escaped from the neighbors yard and killed nicoles dog before malling hmall i mauling her and the man who came to help. Im just waiting on the phone call. The nurse was cleaning her up while the operating people were coming in. I thought my mom was dead. Reporter the pit bulls are in the custody of animal control. Nicoles dog was supposed to be turned over to animal control because of allegations it had bitten someone. Theyve got to do some type of justice for my mom. Shes really bad. Reporter so animal control currently has three pit bulls in custody belonging to the person whose dogs got out and did the mauling. They tell us theyll have to investigate what happened. So will oakland police. They will be investigating as well. But princess kennedy, the woman you just heard from there, said if she has anything to do with it, theyll be pressing charges against the owner of those pit bulls. Bart says it has identified the man responsible for monday nights bigoted and belligerent attack on a fellow passenger. Cell phone video captured the man seen in the long sleeved shirt there yelling racial slurs at another passengr, then slapping and punching him. Bart says the man is being banned from the system. The Transit Agency is also commending the victim and other passengers for not escalating this situation. They tried to keep it as west palm as possible. A man who escaped a hawaii Psychiatric Hospital and fled to the bay area told the judge he wants to stay here. Randall saito is charged with escape in the second degree. Reporter he was committed to the psych hospital in 1981 after being acquitted by reason of insanity for the murder of a woman he shot and stabbed multiple times.
