There were two adult males who were taken to a local hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. We have recovered our crime scene technician is here and we have recovered a firearm from the scene. We know there are a lot of questions in the community. We certainly want to answer those questions. As we go through this investigation and were able to provide more information, well certainly share that with you. Im sorry. Can you speak up . Did it start at b. A. R. T. And go over there . Police officer or firearm of one of the two men involved . The firearm recovered at the scene was recovered from the area that the two individuals were at. It does not belong to the b. A. R. T. Police officer. Its a firearm that was recovered where the two individuals were. The b. A. R. T. Police officer discharged their firearm . We can confirm that the b. A. R. T. Officer did discharge their firearm. At this time, we cannot tell you how many rounds were discharged and we cant even confirm exactly who was struck because there was a firearm that was recovered from where those two individuals were. So right now were working through all of this information to find out exactly what happened. Its going to take time. Were still very early in the investigation. Who was wounded . We have two male adults that did go to the hospital receiving medical attention. Were there any calls for service . Was the b. A. R. T. Officer investigating any incidents at the station . Was there an altercation across the street . What kind of preluded this incident . Thats a good question. Were working with the b. A. R. T. Police department to find out what happened and what led up to 7th and chester and what led up to the shooting. Was there something that occurred earlier that the officer was investigating but until we have the opportunity to speak with the officer, were not going to have all of those answers right now. Thats why were asking for patience. Let us work through this criminal investigation. Let us help b. A. R. T. Police department assist them. Theyll have their investigation. We are handling the criminal investigation and well certainly find those answers. We may not have those immediately available but allow us the opportunity to ask those questions and well provide you with more information as the investigation continues. All right.
