At least it wasnt a major quake, exactly. A look at live doppler 7. Ive overlaid earthquakes the last 24 hours, yellow. The past 12 hours in orange. The past hour in red. Weve had several in the past hours from san jose but its the big one in the middle right underneath the Claremont Hotel. At a depth of about eight miles and magnitude 4. 4 at 2 39 this morning. You can see there is the Claremont Hotel right there near claremont boulevard. Let me show you the shake map. This is interesting in the fact that from richmond, el cerrito, berkeley, piedmont, alameda down to san leandro and san lorenzo and San Francisco right along 80, market street, thats where the greatest amount of shaking took place. It did move through the bay and into San Francisco. Its foggy and damp this morning. It will be warmer with scattered showers this afternoon. Heres sue. Were heading outside to take a live look at walnut creek. The fog is settling in here. Its not hampering your visibility so much. Traffic is moving at the limit for an eightminute drive. We do have Team Coverage for you that morning. Reporter Amy Hollyfield live at the b. A. R. T. Station where Officials Say do expect delays. Reporter hi, natasha. Weve been monitoring the situation here. Its the first train that is impacted. So, for example, on this northbound side, richmond train just came through, the very first train just came through and that was about 12 minutes late. Here on the southbound side heading into San Francisco things have corrected themselves. It looks like the train heading into San Francisco got here at 4 58. It was due at 4 57. We were told that the first trains were just going to go very slowly here on the tracks. Just to make sure there was no track damage, so thats why they went through here slowly with an abundance of caution. They did check the tracks before they sent the trains out and said everything was fine. We talked to b. A. R. T. Passenger who was waiting for the train about whether he felt the quake. Here you go. I felt the earthquake but it shouldnt affect my day that much. Reporter what happened to you when you felt it . Just a little shaken. Reporter how did you react . Im a californian so it wasnt too big of a deal. Reporter thats what were finding here, a lot of calm. People are very tired, very slemy because it did wake them up, but theyre getting on with their day not worried about what happened. I called the Claremont Hotel which is near the epicenter where this happened. They said no damage reported there so everything looked fine. It looks like b. A. R. T.
