Investigators say the gunman, 60yearold steven leet had been fired from his job in the Parts Department later in the day. He killed two supervisors, 38yearold xavier souto and 59yearold brian light before turning the gun on himself. When we will go to work, we have an expectation to go home at the end of the shift like we do as police officers. Reporter earlier today, the president of the ford dealership released a short statement we are devastating by this terrible loss. Three families are safe but devastated after a fire tore through their emeryville homes. A House Cleaning crew was starting their day at one of the homes when they realized it was on fire. Three people including a infant were taken to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation. Everyone else got out okay including one woman who had to rescue her cat and that tarantula. Today in the ghost ship trial, the wife codefendant and ghost ship founder derek all men na testified and an oakland firefighter told the jury he had been inside the warehouse and saw no safety issues. The defense very pleased saying their clients should not be held responsible for the deadly fire in 2016. Today was one of the best days of the trial for the defense. Defense attorneys say mica allison, his wife, was a strong witness for their side and acknowledged conditions at the warehouse were rough in the beginning but also said she often saw Law Enforcement officers inside the ghost ship building.
