When my mom told me steve feen passed away, i couldnt tell my other cousins. Go for a day, so i convinced myself so hard that steve fen was still alive kicking. I never thought any of thai cousins would pass away to gun violence. I want everyone to stand strong and stand against gun violence. This isnt right especially for such a little boy to pass away like this. Does this really have to happen for the whole world to know that gun violence is very bad . Sinking in the days after this and whole new way for the families of the victims obviously. Police in gilroy just wrapped up a News Conference with the latest information about the shooting. Abc7 News Reporter chris reyes is there. What did Police Reveal about the investigation . Reporter good evening, kristen. Chief scot smithee started off the News Conference by reassuring anyone who may be concerned about the reports of a second shooter that they now believe he acted alone. Our investigation is leading us more to believe that there was not a second person involved. I dont think i could say that with absolute certainty at this point because were still following up leads because people who say il saw this or saw that, we want to follow every single one of those leads all the way through. Reporter the chief said they have now been able to track the suspects esmovement leading up to the shooting including stops at various stores in the area. All video footage shows the shooter was by himself. The chief confirmed that a bag found with ammunition by a creek behind the fairgrounds belonged to the shooter. As for the motive of the suspect, fbi are still scrubbing social media for leads on possible ideology. We have no reason to believe at this point he was targeting any protected characteristics of or any class. Reporter now, as for those three Police Officers who engaged the suspect, i did ask the chief how theyre doing. He told me theyve been put on administrative leave to deal with the traumatic event. In just over a week, people will attend outside lands in Golden Gate Park. This Security Camera video shows the three suspects about to cross the street perhaps, just moments before the assault. The three do appear to be talking and walking quickly with some purpose. As if they have a destination or something in mind. This still taken by a witness shows the first victim a Chinatown Community leader lying unconscious after he was attacked by the assailants who stole his gold rolex watch. This video shows a second victim being punched and knocked to the ground as he ran to rescue his friend. Police investigators hoped the security stills and video would help identify the assailants. So far, police have been unsuccessful. Now, they need the publics help. Many chinatown residents and shop owners believe theyre in the midst of a crime wave. There have been other assaults and brazen car robberies. This video shows a man with a stick smashing windows of cars along stockton street. San francisco supervisor gordon mar wants police to release Demographic Data on crime in the Chinese Community which may reveal trends and patterns. For years, the Chinese Community has been complaining that they have been disproportionately darthed for robberies and assaults in their homes, businesses and on the street. He claimed preliminaries officials never reported hazards and later plagues by what they could he have done differently to prevent the fire.
