She said im having a great time. Beautiful spot. Hours later, before dawn on monday morning, the diving boat lisa fiedler was on caught fire and sank in Southern Californias Channel Islands. Lisas mother nancy fiedler, who didnt want to appear on camera lives in korda madera and spoke to me time. She assumes her only child was board, one of 44 people trapped aboard the conception. New at 11 00, urban search and rescue teams from the east bay, north bay and peninsula left for North Carolina tonight to help with Hurricane Dorian. A lot has to happen before the actual deployment can take place. First, the bags have to be loaded on the this truck. After that, everyone stands in this line and they get a health screening. Moving these specialized teams is no easy feat. It requires a lot of equipment, tool, and time. The deployment is for 14 to 21 days. We expect that we will see a fair amount of flooding. Depending on the storm itself, there may be wind damage also that will cause search to be much more complicated, which is rea swift water rescue component. So each of the teams is bringing several inflatable rescue boats with us so that we can perform rescues in the moving water. For many, the hardest part of the deployment will be missing home. And as it continues to spin, were going to see the effects of it in the form of deeper marine layer and some monsoon moisture. So tomorrow morning, 5 00 a. M. , its not going to be a deep marine layer. Just some patchy fog. As we head into 8 00 a. M. , the fogs around. High clouds are starting to come in from the south. You will notice over the sierra some thunderstorms firing up there. Is a small possibility that tomorrow weee some dry lightning. I just want to make you aware of this.
