Police say the investigation is still very preliminary at this point but golfers and residents nearby are shaken up. The body was found at the Lincoln Park Golf Course near the richmond neighborhood. Police say the medical examiner will take over the remains and notify police on the age and gender of the body. Abc 7 News ReporterLauren Martinez has more. No one wants to play after seeing something horrific like this. Reporter a day of golfing at Lincoln Park Golf Course took a dark turn after authorities were called out near hole 13. We were playing golf and came around 13 14 and before we teed off we noticed there was an odd smell. Reporter a body found in the middle day around 2 20 on the greens. Police say theyre investigating the death as suspicion. In this incident we had multiple officers respond and medics which is typical for any well being check. When the medics arrived on scene they did pronounce death at that time. Reporter police cannot confirm the age or gender. Homicide detectives interviewed golfers who found the body or may have seen something. This golf course turned crime scene is completely out of the ordinary to regulars that come here. Which is kind of surprisig, too. I mean theres usually people Walking Around the golf course even who arent playing, so its really strange to have Something Like that just show up randomly on the course for sure. Reporter Authorities Say this is a heavy populated area, with trails and people walking from the avenues nearby. Theyre asking if anyone saw something suspicious to reach out. Give us a call. The shooting happened in saratoga on southbound highway 85 north of winchester boulevard. San jose Police Say Officers were trying to stop a car. They say the passenger was wanted for an outstanding warrant. They say he showed a gun and one officer fired. The suspect died at the scene. The officer involved will be placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation. Now to the alexis where suez gee loftus conceded the race to chase boudin. Boudins lead jumped to 2400 votes from 156 with about 1200 ballots left to count, though, there is no way for loftus to close the gap. Boudin celebrated last night with a party in San Francisco. A large crowd showed up at el rio in the Mission District for the victory party. The San FranciscoFire Department says the worker fell 40 feet from a plachtform to th ground between mission and market streets yesterday. As of the last official update the worker was in serious condition. In the east bay Police Say Two people at a homeless camp are shot with arrows along the San Francisco bay trail near Central Avenue in richmond. One man was hit in the leg, another hit in the stomach. Both went to the hospital and are recovering. A woman who was with them was not hurt. The east Bay Regional Park District police say witness statements have helped identify a suspect. In a statement bart said about fost he he was not arrested, cited for eating which is a violation of state law. The man was lawfully handcuffed after refusing to provide his name multiple times. I have a feeling this is not the last were going to hear of that story. Bart officials meantime are saying bye felicia. The decommissioned bart car is really gone now for good. Bart tweeted this photo of the train car yesterday showing whats left of the car named felicia in oakland. Bart has to make way for 775 new cars in the next few years and that means retiring old cars that have been running on the rails for as long as 50 years. Felicia was only 19 years old but would often break down and needed frequent repairs. The tweet said bart was sad to see one of these go this way but felicia is in the rail yard in the sky. Who knew they named them. A mural in San Franciscos Mission District has been vandalized again. 24th and york streets and celebrates latino culture and leaders. Someone gouged the eyes and defaced some of the other portraits. The same mural hit last year when someone sprayed graffiti on over the united farm workers symbol. Police say violent, disruptive and illegal behavior is not tolerated in the city of oakland. Investigators are working to find those responsible for taking part in side shows. As of 9 00 last night, police say there had been no side shows. Officers are working with the city council and other departments to find longterm solutions to illegal side shows. In the east bay, a suspect is on the run this morning after getting into a fight with a person they were trying to steal a car from. Pleasanton Police Released this Surveillance Video here from yesterday morning. The suspect is on the bicycle that you see ride past. Investigators say the man at this home woke up to hearing his vehicle being started. He said he saw it being backed out of the driveway and got into another car to chase after the thief. Police think the suspect crashed into a pole and the homeowner caught up to them. The two got into a fight before the suspect ran off. Thousands of san bruno residents have power back this morning. The area in orange here on this map was without power for about 90 minutes yesterday morning. About 4,000 customers are in that area. The cause is still unknown. Residents on Treasure Island also struggled with a power outage friday night into saturday. It was the second outage for that area in less than a week. More shops in the bay area are trying to change customers behavior asking them to bring a reusable cup. According to the chronicle starting in january in berkeley cafes and restaurants will charge 25 cents per disposable cup. The San Francisco supervisor introduced a bill to require a 25 cent charge for cups and containers and would encourage cstomers to reduce waste. A new Christmas Tree is up at the state capitol. But it is getting some harsh critics. The tree was delivered this past week after the first original tree had a crack and was unsafe to put up. This new 60 plus foot tall white fur was chopped down in a shasta state forest. Some arborists say they see perfection in it but some residents say its a little sparse. When you told me it was the Christmas Tree for california i was like wow, like where is the rest of it . For what they paid for it i think they got robbed. Since the tree is cut from a state forest the only costs are for employee time and fuel to bring it to the capitol. The official Lighting Ceremony for the tree is on december 5th. By then steiner purchased had been purchased by fanatics. Curry signed the banner in august and javier would have to wait more to receive the signed banner. Two weeks later still not guilty. No confirmation. Its basically a month of waiting. I call again. Reporter hes assured once again that hell receive his banner. After another week he decided to call 7 on your side. We contacted fanatics and within 30 minutes the Company Tells javier theyll ship him a free autographed curry jersey and give him a 100 refund. We were on hand when javier received his jersey.
