By this time tomorrow, it will be below zero in Central New York where it seems like at least this year, november is the new january. Robin. Does seem that way, rob. Thank you. You take care there. Lets go to ginger now for a look at just how cold it will get. Good morning, ginger. Robin, springfield, missouri, was 75 sunday and this morning, theyve just dropped to 10. 65degree drop in less than two days, so that polar air is on. It feels like 10 in dallas, 8 below in chicago and you know that if youre in the green mild air, its changing. The cold front moving through. Lets pull out new jersey and pennsylvania to give you an idea when that all happens. Stream lines show you mild air, close to 60 degrees say in Atlantic City this morning but that front is about to come through late morning, early afternoon and that is going to bring you the cold. That pink represents the teens for windchill. Anything less than 15 really across the entire state nearly of pennsylvania, pittsburgh will feel like 11 by tomorrow morning. Philadelphia, 15, Atlantic City will feel like 13. It doesnt stop in the midatlantic. It goes all the way south to florida and it will feel subfreezing even in tallahassee. Atlanta will feel like 21. That is cold. Thanks very much. We go to washington now where the first public impeachment hearings begin tomorrow and President Trump now the fourth president to face the process that could remove him from office. Our Senior National correspondent terry moran is tracking the latest from capitol hill. Terry, ahead of tomorrows hearing the democrats released more depositions about the military aid trump was withholding from ukraine and what the ukrainians knew about it. Reporter thats right, george. These are secondary witnesses but they confirm an important part of the story and answer one of the president s main lines of defenses. The president s allies including his son don junior on the view claimed the ukrainians never even knew that military aid was withheld by the United States, so how could there be a quid pro quo . How could there be pressure or muscle . These witnesses, among other things, said they got frantic phone calls and meetings with their ukrainian counterparts who were wondering where that aid was. This is at the same time that other members of the administration were demanding investigations of the bidens and of the 2016 election so the conclusion is the ukrainians could add two plus two and they got the pressure. Terry, meantime, there is some jockeying inside the white house among potential witnesses about whether top officials like Mick Mulvaney and john bolton, the former National Security adviser, will actually testify in these hearings. Reporter yeah, Mick Mulvaney, the acting chief of staff, is acting a little oddly here. The president has ordered him and other top aides not to testify in these impeachment inquiry hearings, but mulvaney has now decided he wants a court to tell him whether he should obey the house subpoena or obey the guy he works for, the president of the United States, and he even tried to join the effort by john bolton and boltons former deputy to get a court to tell them what they should do. Whether they should obey the subpoena or obey the president. This is odd because mulvaney and bolton were at each others throats when they were both in the white house. They rejected the efforts so mulvaney says hes going to file his own lawsuit to get the answer whether or not he should testify. Meantime, the president continues to say he didnt do anything wrong and promising to release more information now by the end of the week. Reporter thats right. There were two phone calls between President Trump and this new president of the ukraine, the first one right after that president zelensky was elected in april, was apparently not very substantive. It was a congratulatory phone call. The other one in july, thats the one the house is focusing on but the president is going to release that first one to say all was normal. George. Okay, terry moran, thanks very much. Lets bring in your legal team now, chief legal analyst dan abrams and kate shaw at cardoza law school. Welcome to you both. These hearings, three big question, one, did the president actually ask ukraine to do these investigations to further his political interest . Number two, did that constitute an abuse of power . And, number three, did the white house conceal these actions and the fact theyre withholding witnesses from cooperating constitute obstruction of justice . I mean, those are both fact and legal questions together. The first fact question about what exactly happened, what was the goal, can they demonstrate it, et cetera, thats a separate question from, does this become abuse of power . Again, abuse of power isnt in the criminal code. It becomes one of these things that congress is going to have to interpret and thats why the sort of public nature of these becomes so important. When you think of this as a public proceeding and the jury in the end is going to be the senate, that means what the public thinks is critical and so thats why these public hearings become so important to see whether its going to shift opinion one way or the other. And, kate, one of the things to think about is when the Founders First thought about impeachment, high crimes and misdemeanors, is this the kind of abuse of power that they were contemplating . If you think of it involving an abuse of the power of the presidency, right, a leveraging of governmental resources for personal political gain, corruption of an abuse of sort of the oath of office of president , it does feel like a fairly textbook example of the kind of conduct that the framers contemplated when they wrote impeachment into the constitution. And how about the fact that the president is telling his top aides not to cooperate . Yeah, i mean, i do think you have a possible separate sort of the abuse of power charge and separate obstruction of the investigation charge. You know, i do think that as terry said its quite interesting, you have both former and Current White House officials suggesting that theyre having some doubts about their obligations here. I think a loyal soldier would say, i dont have any obligation to testify, the president has directed me not to. Congress, sue me if you disagree. But theyre inviting the courts in to the dispute. The president keeps saying everything he did was perfect but more republicans are moving to this idea including nikki haley that what the president did was wrong but not impeachable. Right, and thats going to be the most interesting thing to me. Weve seen witnesses and weve looked at their transcripts already. We havent seen them publicly but know what theyll say. So the question really becomes, how will the republicans go after them . I think youre going to see a mix. I think youre going see many of them saying, okay, maybe it was wrong but its not that bad but some of them attacking the credibility of these witnesses, as well. We will be watching and i know you will join us for our live coverage tomorrow at 10 00 eastern, abc news and abc news live. Robin. All right, george. Also this morning another democratic contender may be joining the race for 2020. Sources say former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is signaling he may run. If he decides to run, hell most likely announce thursday, the day before the filing deadline in the first primary state of new hampshire. And to breaking news now, former president jimmy carter undergoing emergency surgery this morning to relieve pressure on his brain. Steve osunsami is outside emory hospital in atlanta with the latest. Good morning, steve. Reporter good morning to you, robin. The procedure is scheduled this morning here at Emery University hospital and president carters spokespeople tell us he is here resting comfortably with his wife at his side. Doctors will work to remove pressure on his brain caused by bleeding after his recent falls. He fell and broke his hip in may and then fell twice last month. After one of those falls he needed 14 stitches but immediately got back up and traveled to nashville where he famously helped build houses for habitat for humanity. With a black eye. We should underline that this is a man who has beat metastatic cancer. After fracturing his pelvis in october, he showed up for sunday services at his church, the church where he teaches sunday school, the church has announced that he will not be teaching this sunday but, of course, everyone is looking forward to a speedy recovery. George. Okay, steve, thanks very much. We are thinking of him and his family this morning. We move overseas now to new fighting in the middle east after a pair of israeli air strikes killed the islamic jihadi leader in the gaza strip and targeted a second commander in the syrian capital of damascus. They have responded by launching at least 50 rockets towards israel. No israeli casualties have been reported coming amid escalating tensions with iran. Also this morning, tensions rising in hong kong. Hundreds arrested after those violent protests. Senior Foreign Correspondent ian pannell is tracking the very latest. Good morning, ian. Reporter yeah, good morning, michael. Just look at the scene here. We are right in the heart of the Business District of asias Financial Hub and look at it. Its awash with riot police, there have been clashes with protesters as these protests just dont just go on but have started to take a darker turn. This morning, antigovernment protests in hong kong reaching a new level of violence as police now say they arrested over 260 people in just one day, most are students. Demonstrators are angry their demands for more freedom from china and Police Accountability arent being met. A mob of protesters ganging up on this one man in white, a sign of how intolerant and angry this movement has become as others run through a Shopping Mall smashing windows. Hong kongs chief executive issuing a stern warning. If there is still any Wishful Thinking that by escalating violence, that hong kong as a government will yield to pressure to satisfy the socalled political demands, i am making this statement clear and loud here, that will not happen. Reporter the violence is raging on both sides. Authorities clashing directly with protesters at the chinese university, firing tear gas and rubber bullets into the crowd. Overnight, police indiscriminately blasting protesters with Water Cannons and this violence unfolding one day after this officer fired his weapon at a demonstrator standing just feet away and a Chinese Government supporter was doused in a flammable liquid and set on fire. Both are still in hospital. Despite this escalation, protesters say they have no intention of stopping until their demands are met. We are so angry about the Police Brutality and their violence that happened like in the past five months in hong kong. Reporter overnight, the state department condemning violence on both sides urging them to engage in a sincere dialogue. You casee the situation on the ground. There is no talking, and beijing has warned about the role of what it describes as Foreign Forces interfering. Robin. Remains a very tense situation there. All right, ian, thank you. Scott hapgood skipping his hearing saying hes worried about his safety if he goes back. Hapgood wants to clear his name but his Attorney Says he cant do that if hes dead. Not returning, the connecticut dad accused of manslaughter in the death of a hotel worker at a fivestar caribbean resort not appearing at a scheduled hearing in anguilla this week. Its been a living nightmare. Reporter the 44yearold investment banker was vacationing with his wife and three kids in anguilla in april when he says a resort worker, kenny mitchel, came to the door in uniform claiming he needed to fix a sink, but hapgood says mitchel pulled a knife on him and demanded money claiming mitchel then stabbed and bit him during a violent struggle where mitchel died. Hapgoods daughters ran for help. Hapgood who is out on bond was scheduled for a hearing monday but did not appear. His lawyers concerned for his safety if the judge revoked his bail sending him back to jail until the case is resolved. The spokesperson releasing a statement saying, it has become progressively apparent that scott would not receive a fair trial in anguilla. Suggesting that politics are governing scotts case rather than the law and the facts. I go back and forth between anguilla in the face of significant dangers to make sure that the facts come out because the hard science shows what really happened. Reporter Officials Say mitchell died of positional asphyxia and Blunt Force Injuries but attorneys for hapgood say mitchel had high levels of alcohol and cocaine in his system. Hapgoods legal team saying, three independent medical experts have now concluded that the attacker died due to the drugs in his system. The case sparking outrage on the island. Hapgood saying hes received multiple death threats. His legal team asking for a guarantee of safety before this hearing, something they say authorities there declined to ensure. In a statement writing, we understand there will be people in anguilla who say scott is running from a trial. That is 100 false. There is nothing scott wants more than to clear his name and get his life back. So what happens next . Hapgood could face more charges for not showing up and anguilla, which is a british territory, could force him to come back. Thats something his legal team will most definitely fight. Why would you do that . Reporter now, one of the concerns we heard overnight from family members was they want the men who did this arrested but they say this problem is even bigger than their own tragedy. They describe the cartels as terrorists who will keep regrouping until something more significant is done to root them out but, guys, they are reassured this morning the fbi is getting involved. The problem is its been almost a week now. You spent some time in that area. What is it like . Theres nothing there. Theres literally nothing there. One of the experts told us that the closest military base is three hours away. Theyre in complete control. Okay, tom, thanks very much. Were going to move on now to that controversy for ubers ceo under fire for comparing the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi to an accidental death caused by a selfdriving car. Linsey davis is here with all the fallout. Reporter good morning. It was back in 2017 that uber hired a new ceo after a string of events suggested that the Company Needs to move away from a toxic culture. Now the boycott uber hashtag is back again, this time after the ceos comments appeared to minimize murder to a mistake. This morning, the man behind one of the most successful ridesharing apps in the world is apologizing after a viral backlash. Dara khosrowshahi, the ceo of uber, called the murder of the Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi a mistake during an interview with axios on hbo. I think that government said that they made a mistake. Well, they made a mistake and somebody is dead. Reporter his comment sparked further criticism after seemingly comparing the 2018 murder of khashoggi who american intelligence reportedly said was killed by the saudi government to the accident involving the tech companys selfdriving car that accidentally killed a pedestrian last year. Its a serious mistake. Weve made mistakes too, right, with selfdriving and we stopped driving and were recovering from that mistake so i think that people make mistakes. It doesnt mean that they can never be forgiven. I think theyve taken it seriously. Like, with selfdriving that was a bad sensor, correct . The cia has suggested that the crown prince had a role in ordering the assassination. Its a different thing. You guys didnt intentionally run somebody over. I didnt believe that part of the cia report. Youre obviously deeper in it. Reporter immediately khosrowshahis comments sparked a backlash on social media. The boycottuber trending on monday. According to axios, an hour after the interview the executive reached back out via email to clarify his comments saying, i said something in the moment that i do not believe. When it comes to Jamal Khashoggi, his murder was reprehensible and should not be forgotten or excused. He later followed up with a tweet adding, theres no forgiving or forgetting what happened to Jamal Khashoggi, and i was wrong to call it a mistake. Im sorry i wasnt as clear. Saudi arabia is ubers fifth largest shareholder with about 1. 9 billion worth of stock in the company and the head of the Sovereign Wealth Fund is a member of ubers board of directors. Okay. We have them on the roof, theyre pecking at our roofs. Our brandnew vehicles, theyre pecking at our vehicles. Reporter one of the residents crying foul is Major League Baseball star todd frazier. But first, a lot of news to get to starting with the deep freeze affecting more than 200 million. 15 states are under a winter storm warning so lets go back to rob. He is in syracuse. Good morning again, rob. Good morning, robin. I hope youre ready for winter. Its coming whether you like it or not. The snow continues to fall here in syracuse but that hasnt really been the big story. As a matter of fact, the heat content of the roads here in downtown have been warming up at least for now to be able to melt the snow on contact but the secondary roads, i can tell you the interstates driving in here were slick and we have seen hundreds of accidents across the midwest into the midsouth. Check out this car spinning its way out of control through a fence in missouri and the rear wheels dangling off a cliff until firefighters could safely remove the passengers there. We had tractor trailers across pennsylvania, icy interstates there, jackknife and accidents across the board and that plane in chicago ohare skidding off the runway. Thankfully the passengers there were safe. Some areas will get some snow and some ice and some rain today but the big story will be the cold. Look how deep to the south the cold air gets by tomorrow morning. Windchills will feel like zero in syracuse, new york, below zero in many spots. But you go to jackson, mississippi, into the teens, new orleans, lower to mid20s. Regardless of the time of year thats bodyshocking type of cold and here we are, robin, barely into the middle of november. But it seems like january. All right, thank you, rob. We go to washington now where the first public impeachment hearings begin tomorrow. The democrats have released more depositions about the military aid trump was withholding from ukraine and what the ukrainians knew about it. Lets go back to our Senior National correspondent terry moran. Good morning, terry. Reporter good morning, george. One of the main arguments the president and his defenders making again and again, no quid pro quo. Well, part of that argument is the claim that the ukrainians never knew vital military aid was being withheld from them and if they didnt know, how could there be a quid pro quo . These witnesses, one from the pentagon, two from the state department, came in and said they did know. That their counterparts in the Ukrainian Government were frantic wondering where that aid was weeks ago, many months ago actually, and so this was pressure being put on the Ukrainian Government. They felt it. There would be a quid pro quo. The reason it was vital, we should remember, 13,000 ukrainians have been killed in that war against russianbacked separatists in the west of the country. This is not some kind of game show or reality tv show. This is life and death to them and thats what this testimony was about. Tomorrow, of course, the impeachment hearings open with a couple of big witnesses, the leading diplomat in ukraine for the United States and a top official in the state department and they will lay out the beginnings of the case, that this was according to democrats an abuse of power by President Trump. George. Terry, thanks. I know youll be joining us for our live coverage tomorrow of the impeachment hearings. Thats at 10 00 eastern right here on abc and abc news live. Coming up right here, the alarming new study about vaping. How it may be worse for your heart than cigarettes. Dr. Ashton is here with that. Look whos here. Oh, frozen 2 stars, kristen bell and idina menzel. Theyre not actually outside. Theyre upstairs. Thats not all, the stormtroopers are on guard protecting Jeff Goldblum. This took over the internet this weekend with people dancing a few simple moves to Mariah Careys 1995 signature song fantasy, and for michael i will not try to sing it but there were some pretty good submissions that youre seeing right there. And one right there. Im putting my submission in right now. [ cheers and applause ] the queen herself, mariah, took to this to try to score the win for this. Check it out. Every night talk is free and looking fine i get kind of hectic inside that move, michael. [ applause ] dont hurt yourself. I was going to say, michael, you didnt do that final drop it like its hot. Because im tied to this chair right now. Okay, well take that. Mariah tweeted this video with the caption, just for laughs, most people online agreeing that not only did mariah win the challenge, she is the queen of tiktok. And finally, my favorite story in like forever this is amazing. We have some very important nuptials or rather puptials. Take a look at these fourlegged newlyweds that just tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony. This is mr. And mrs. Those are their actual names. Two shelter dogs in atlanta who have been madly in love for six years and just made things official sharing a spoonful of Peanut Butter to signify their love. Before the big day mr. Was treated to his own Bachelor Party and then mrs. Got her own special day too shopping for her wedding dress. The two enjoyed a beautiful honeymoon and are now looking to find a forever home. Yes, so real quick shoutout, if youre in the atlanta area best Friends Animal Society in atlanta, please someone get these beautiful lovers. They will add so much heart to your home. I mean, come on. That was great. Thank you, sara. Were going to move on now to our gma cover story and were going to walk over to talk to jen ashton. A health alert about vaping. A landmark new study shows it may be more harmful to your heart than traditional cigarettes, and dr. Ashton is here. Pretty alarming headline right there. Break it down for us. Good morning. This may be an important piece of the puzzle in looking at vaping and its effects. It was a small study at cedars sinai and they compared two groups of people headtohead, combustible and ecig smokers and they measured blood flow to the heart muscle. What they found is that people who smoked combustible cigarettes had lower blood flow to their heart during periods of physical stress. People smoking ecigs had lower blood flow to the art muscle not just during physical stress but during rest. That implies much more vascular or blood vessel effect. So all this evidence is piling up that these chemicals that go along with the nicotine are really causing serious problems. Big news out of the cdc, they identified as a major culprit from the vapingrelated illness cases that weve been following vitamin e acetate, a sticky substance it does not do well in the lung tissue and theyre starting to really lay out what exactly is making people so sick. Such a real danger. Jen ashton, thanks very much. Robin. Yes, you know, now, robins oneonone with Country Music legend dolly parton before she guest hosts the cma awards tomorrow night with Carrie Underwood and reba mcentire. I had so much fun. [ cheers and applause ] i had the chance to sit down with dolly for a look at her incredible career, her impact on the music world and how, after 50 years in the industry, my girl is still working 9 to 5 and still going strong. Were here at dollywood. It was very important to you to put it right here. Well, yeah, because this is my home. Im so happy that ive been able to have a business here and to do so many things in this area for my neighbors and my family and my friends. Whats your favorite spot here . Oh, i love it all. I love this museum mostly because it kind of has some of everything in my whole life. I dont think you like to throw anything away, my friend. No, this is only pieces of what i got. You should see my house. I got big storage bins of clothes and things that fans give me. I have a whole warehouse called the arts and crap building because i cant throw anything away no matter how ugly it is or whatever. I know how much people, you know, spent time on it. Organized hoarding. Reporter but long before dolly had enough things to fill up an entire museum, she was just a High School Girl with big musical dreams. I graduated on a friday night and headed out on a saturday morning and as i make jokes about it with my matching luggage, those four paper bags from the same grocery store. I thought, well, i cant be any poorer than i already am, and im a girl, ill find some boy that will take me to shoneys. I wont go hungry and i left two boyfriends back home. Last thing i wanted was a boyfriend because i was headed out for my big career. Two boyfriends. I always had more than two but one or two or three or four. There was a laundromat down from my little apartment where i was going to be staying and it was in walking distance and i had taken my clothes down there and so the very day i go down to the laundromat, this goodlooking man just drops by and he says something like, well, youre going to get sunburned out here and i said something stupid, like, whats it to you and we started talking and two years later we married and were still married, and that was that. You just go walking in with your dirty clothes and you walk out with carl dean. 53 years. 55 together. Okay, im going to take you down memory lane. Oh, lordy. These are all so scary. What is this . 1977. Okay. Okay. You had these big dreams and this is what you said to barbara walters. I like to think that theres more money to be made than the money ive been making. Ive been working too hard too long for too little. What do you make . What did you make as a country star . Maybe 500,000, 600,000 a year but you got to pay expenses and this sort of thing. Of course thats not counting records and that sort of thing. Amen, dolly parton. I know. Also, you knew your worth. Well, i did. I knew thats what i was supposed to do and i thought i am not getting paid enough but thats amazing to go back and remember thats what i always felt in my heart, that i had something to give and i thought i was worth something, you know, and i still do. Yeah. [ applause ] im telling you, she is priceless. Absolutely priceless. While we were there dolly brought back these mugs for you all, you see that . I like that. A cup of ambition. She is one of the most fun people to talk to. Oh, and she is so charitable. She has this Organization Called imagination library. Not many people know about this. For children up to the age of 5, she sends out a million books, a million books every month. A month . And since 1995 they have delivered 127 million books to kids all over, not just this country but in four other countries. Yes, she does. You can see i hope you tune in. It is really special. Dolly parton here she comes again tonight, 10 00, 9 00 eastern right here on abc, and the cma awards are tomorrow night at 8 00, 7 00 central so well get you all set by watching that special. Always great. Love the cmas. And now its time to look at all the exciting shows, movies and series on disney plus. Youre seeing the app right there as the Service Launches today. What advice would you give to the 15, 16yearold self . Reporter encore, executive produced by kristen bell, follows a group of adults who return to high school for a second chance. Im very proud and cant believe i did this, seriously. Its a new way of basically bringing what weve done for 96 years to the world. To infinity and beyond [ cheers and applause ] kristen bell joining us now. Welcome. I love this idea. Kind of a twist on High School Musical. Yeah, we basically take previous High School Musical casts and reunite them and they have to perform their original musical in six days. But we have casts that are millennials who havent seen each other in five years. We have casts that are baby boomers who havent seen each other in 45 years. Wow. Its incredible and i will say ive been proud of a lot of work ive done. I dont know that ive done anything that makes me this proud. That says a lot. Its been so positive. So heart felt. [ applause ] for most people, for most people you think about high school you think about stress, anxiety. Of course. And hormones. Of course. So what was it like to bring everybody back together . Well, the first thing ill say is thats where the idea came from. Theres one thing that unites everybody, right . We all disagree on everything. Theres one thing that unites us all and that is that word high school. Everybody feels it when you say it. So true. So we wanted to bring everybody back together. There is something absolutely electric about watching people reintroduce themselves to people they already know having shed the labels of high school. Theyre making amends and saying things they wish they had said. Theyre finding love again. Its just its like time travel and we thought we would not we were like i wonder how many would want to take a week off of work, and we had thousands of submissions for the First Episode. [ applause ] well, you know, this is like you said, this is a genius idea and congratulations to you for executive producing it as well. Thank you. Well have more with kristen with frozen 2. They said you were coming. What else did he say . He said you were the best in the parsic. Freeze. No, drop your weapons. No, no, no. Sorry, i didnt mean to alarm. This is dr. Persing. Please excuse his lack of decorum. His enthusiasm outweighs his discretion. Please lower your blaster. Lower theirs first. We have you 41. I like those odds. [ applause ] i know what im doing for the rest of the day. If you happen to have a question for the cast and creator of the mandalorian, you can tweet it with the hashtag disney plus on verizon and could be answered during the big fan event which is tomorrow. Livestreamed on verizons twitter page. I know what im doing for the rest of the day. Im with you. Its cold outside so stay inside to watch that. You know what, its getting cold in here. Because we are about to bring out some very special guests. They play the heroines in the coolest movie around. Please welcome the stars we cant let go, kristen bell is back and idina menzel. Let the storm rage on the cold never bothered me anyway welcome back. Its been a while. I havent seen you in so long. I know, i know, i know. Hi. I know. Mwah. How are you . Yes. We got the memo. You guys did. We did. I didnt get it. But its okay. We want to start with the movie and your kids. Ill ask you, kristen, you have a 6yearold and 4yearold. Yeah. Theyve seen the film. Yeah. What did they think of it . They loved it. They loved it and i remember a specific moment towards the end where something happens and my 4yearold, she had her knees up and she had her hands towards the screen like she was in a Southern Baptist church. She was giving it and then something happens and she just went, oh, my god. And i was like, nailed it. So theyve known the plot for a while now so have they been running around giving away any of it . I hope not. She told them. They loved frozen but dont like the fact that im in frozen. I think its in your dna to reject your parents, right . And so when i read the script i came home and i was like, so, heres what happens and they digested it and were like, yeah, that sounds cool. It ws hard for them to picture and it occurred to me i was in breach of my contract and im like, tminus two weeks before disney doesnt have a legal issue with me because theyve kept it zipped. Oh wow. Good kids. To have done that. Let it go. Its an earworm for us all and we all sing it to ourselves over and over. Im sorry. No, no. Do people ask you all the time just to bell it out . Yeah, they do but its honestly i love it so much. Its been a great gift in my life. I get to sing it all over the world. I get to see little kids like this and sing with them and be reminded of how important it is to sing a song about the selfempowerment and how, you know, cool we are as young women. Thats right. Thats right and the sisterhood. Now, i hear your husband said that you all use anna and elsa as parenting . Yeah. With your girl. Yeah. Well look, its the power of story. Its why were able to go to the movie these ever, watch tv show and have catharsis and work through our own problems and youre able to snap out. Thats why people talk with puppets in therapy. I dont do pub puppets in therapy. Some people do. When my kids when i can see the look in their eye i dont use the puppets in its easier, its easier to say your emotions when its through Something Else and when i see that look in their eye which is often where theyre about to wring each others necks, i just go, hmm, what would elsa and anna do here . Do you think they would pinch and kick each other . Theyre able for a moment go they probably wouldnt. Sometimes they still do it but sometimes it works. Thats a good try. Good try. [ laughter ] this movie, frozen 2, picks up three years after the original movie and well look at a clip right now and in this clip anna and elsa go on a search for how elsa got her power. And try to find out a little more about the family history. Lets take a look at a clip. Kristoff, can i borrow your wagon and sven. . Im not very comfortable with that. You are not going alone. I have my powers to protect me. You dont. Excuse me. I climbed the North Mountain survived a frozen heart and saved you from my exboyfriend and did it without powers so im coming . Me too. Ill drive. Ill bring the snacks. [ cheers and applause ] i did not know this this is the first musical sequel ever by disney. So no pressure on you two at all. We felt in really good hands. We love our recipe and the Creative Team and we were excited to get back in the room with them. They might have felt like there was a lot on their shoulders but we trust them a lot. Big time. There is a new song. Into the unknown. Seven new songs, amazing songs. This one has the most heartbreaking song. Theyre calling it the new let it go. If you have to make it about me, then thats okay. Plus, it is until you see the movie because there is another one. Theres amazing music in the film. Honestly, we shes being humble. Heres what happened. She did it the first time and disney was like, should we double down on this . And everyone was like, yes, so they gave her two everyone does have great songs. Youre right. They do. But you have two unbelievable i sang on a good day which have really high notes which ill just be so itll be so hard when i have a coal and i have to sing it somewhere. Youre amazing. What does your son think, 10 years old. Its the same thing with kristen. He loves frozen and all that and saw it at the premiere and loved all the action scenes and everything but he cant stand hearing me sing. He tells me to shut up all the time. I just like vocalize in the shower and hear him go, shut up, mom, youre embarrassing me. But he loves the movie. We do too and the way that you all we see how adorable you are together. The entire cast, you guys are really close. Yeah, we are. Its very it is its sort of a replica of what you see on scene. I feel like idina is my sister jonathan is my boyfriend and josh is my son. We feel sorry to cut you off. No. Go ahead. We feel this camaraderie because we built something were proud of and its just nice to be in a room with everyone creating something that you, you know, thats become such a huge deal. Were proud of that. You should be. [ applause ] i have one more question for you. There was something you were going to let go, what would it be . I think i apologize too much. I say sorry too much. Its just like becoming a habit so id like to try to let go of saying sorry all the time. I walk around going, sorry, sorry. Just, is that a feel male thing or do do you do that . No, i just you dont apologize. I do apologize but i dont do it all the time. Its great to apologize when its necessary but not all the time. What would you let go . Im going to take hers as well. Oh, okay. Yeah, i would say i think i apologize a ton as well. Even like ive had casting directors say you come in and apologize. Im like, im sorry, should i do that again. We dont want to know you think you made a mistake. We thought you were good so dont tell us. Ill tell you this, were going to apologize to you and everybody at home because we have to go now. Its the end of our interview so were sorry because we love having you two here. Everybody has these mickey mouse ears on. Theyre here to party.
