Starting off in antioch, we have dense fog. Visibility is down to 100 feet. State route 160 and around there, take your time as you head out the door. Several fog advisories for several bridges, the drumbarton bridge and the san mateo bridge. Carquinez bridge and the antioch bridge. San Francisco Police identified the body in a 43yearold cold case. Detectives say a missing persons report filed for judy gifford a few years ago placed her dispeens in tdi disappearance in the same timeframe of a murder in 1976. Dna tests confirmed the match but her killer is still a mstery. The San Francisco board of superviseders plans to take up an emergency resolution to address the drug crisis. Matt haney held a rally inside city hall yesterday demanding Public Safety Board Members adopt the plan which includes Emergency Response for streetover doses and psychosis, easier access to narcan and funding to establish emergency detox facilities. We have to recognize when our city is facing serious challenges. We have to recognize the responsibility that we have when these challenges get to a level of crisis. The board of supervisors votes on the resolution tuesday. In the south bay, a tree display has abc7 news viewers concerned. The Committee Chair says someone will be back this weekend with a sign that explains the design. He says the troop may soften up the knot as well. In the east bay, theres a desperate call for more toy donations. The richmond fire and Police Program is falling short this year and their deadline is coming up fast. Lauren martinez explains how you can help. Ive never seen the shelves bare, empty like this. For over two decades, the richmond fire and Police Toy Program has never looked like this. Easily these shelves are overflowing with toys. We usually get a lot of donations at this point. But right now were falling short. Short of donations and time. We are one week out from our event, we have only filled the bags of half of the families who signed up. With the december 20th deadline fast approaching, the Richmond Fire Department and the Police Department peosted on facebook asking for help. To me, the most important part is there are for some families, some children, this is the only christmas that they have. Donations it are needed for children ages 3 to 12, but the shelf for boys 7 to 10 years old is completely empty. Its so easy to go out when youre shopping, running errands to just buy a toy and bring it to us. Well make sure it goes to a needy child. You can drop off a toy at any richmond fire station. A little dog is at an east bay Animal Shelter after the pup was found on the freeway. An oakland chp officer rescued that dog. The Department Shared the pictures on instagrm. They show the officer and the dog after he found that poodle on internastate 980. This happened yesterday. He said the little dog seemed cold and hungry so he picked up the pup and took it to the oakland Animal Shelter where hopefully it will find a deserving family. I think it will happen.
