Two Sonoma County Sheriff Deputies are recovering after they crashed their patrol vehicles after racing to a Domestic Violence call. It happened around 6 20 tonight. One of the deputies was taken to a nearby hospital. In the east bay, Police Arrested two people in response to a laptop theft that ended with a mans death. We will learn the suspects identities today after this horrifying crime. The theft happened on new years eve. It was at a starbucks in the montclair village. The victim chased after the suspects and was dragged by their car and died from his injuries. One man ran into the coffee shop, stole the laptop and then another man held the door open and then a third masked man was driving the getaway car. Witnesses watched in horror as the victim was dragged by the car while trying to recover his stolen laptop and the victim later died at the hospital. The kid jumped in the car. It was like a superman type dive. Then there was a struggle. I think they tried to push him out and he got dragged up the road. Thats when it was awful. Police have not released the names of those involved. Security cameras from nearby businesses captured the license plate of that getaway car. Vallejo police are searching for a hitandrun suspect who hurt an elderly disabled man. It happened monday near redwood and sacramento streets. Witnesses say this man left the scene after hitting an 85yearold man in a wheelchair. The suspect also abandoned his 1980 plymouth pickup. That victim is recovering at home. Yet another reason why people in santa rosa want to build a better bay area by cleaning up a homeless camp. Neighbors say they feel unsafe after a propane tank fire burned near their homes.
