This is several hundred yards from the nearest road. The rescuers who found them figured it was unlikely they would be in this area, thick with brush, but they decided to go ahead and search it, and they were shocked when they found 72yearold eran irwin and 77yearold Carol Kiparsky who said they went on a valentines day hike and they got lost when it got dark. Their sons couldnt believe they were found alive. My mother said, you know, i lost a shoe, and so i was walking with one shoe. Then i lost the other shoe. I kept walking in my socks. Then i got tired of walking in my socks so i was walking bare feet for a wild. Shes 77 years old. I hope nobody watches this ever understands how happy i am today. Just amazing. They drank water from a puddle they found and they think thats how they stayed alive. Search crews from six counties have been looking for the couple for a week using dogs, helicopters, drones. The couple told their rescuers cole nights were the hardest, and they were sure they were going to die. They were taken to the hospital for treatment but their conditions look good. District officials stress it is not in the drinking water. They say tce in ground water does not pose an immediate threat, but it could be dangerous if the substance is in the air. I got the chance to ask her how we can rise to the challenge. How do you make changes when you know its kind of difficult, you might not want do it but you need do it. The definition of wellness for me, but mine is all things in balance, it doesnt mean that things are in balance all the time. It means that you are like nature moving with the constant flow, setting a vision for who you want to be. Not just what you want to do. Who do you want to be in the world. I want to be who do you want to be . I want to be kumasi oprah. Wow. The all right. Shes so inspiring. Mmhmm. She just really she makes you want to be the best version of yourself. Of course. Just being around her, her authenticity, she walked to us like we were her friends and she was coming to hike with us. Everybody is like, oh, my god, its oprah. Shes like hey, hi. She just has this warmth about her that is so welcoming. She gave everybody a hug. It was just the best experience. You can tell she really does love being in nature. She says trees are her sanctuary. We did the hike, we got to the middle part it was supposed to be over, she was like is it done . We need to keep walking. Lets hike some more. Nobody says no, oprah, were done. Were like were going, where do you want to go . We hiked more. She would go and have her moment. She loves trees, loves being out there. It was really the best time. She was present and just talking to us. We had to do homework. We had to go through a work book. It made you think about how can i what is my vision for my life. Yes. Vision for 2020 and beyond. We learned things about ourselves. I think everyone did. The work books were curated by her team, weight watches, it goes from mental wellness, nutrition, exercise. The overall body. The entire mindset. We danced. We laughed. You were getting it. Kumasi was in there, now that i think about it. We have a video of that . Kumasi crying . I did cry. I cannot lie. I cried.
