I didnt really have that many examples of fashion growing up in the midwest. A lot of it was magazines, and thats really where my love of magazines started. Reporter she was just 28 when she took over as editorinchief of teen vogue in 2018, becoming the youngest and only woman of color to head a major magazine. For us, everything that we do has to make our audience feel seen and heard. Reporter her fullcircle story began as an intern at teen vogue. Her hustle eventually landed her a fashion editor gig at the cut. There she penned a groundbreaking article, everywhere and nowhere what its really like to be black in fashion. A lot of people that had been in the industry a long time had told me, this is not a good idea, youre going to get black balled, youre not going to be able to get a job after this.
