Reporter they also posted signs to send a message. On saturday, bolinas and Stinson Beach were overrun with cars and visitors looking for a break. Beaches were packed. And we just wonder why they thought it was okay to just swarm Stinson Beach. Diana morel has lived in Stinson Beach for 50 years. We want to be safe. Im an old gray hair, and i want to be safe. And i dont feel like i can even walk my dog right now. Someone posted these green flyers saying if you dont live here, go home and stay there. You are putting us in danger. Crowds forced the closure of the Stinson Beach parking lot. Sky oaks road on mount tam was also closed off due to crowds. The Sheriffs Department tweeted shelter in place is not a vacation. We strongly advise against traveling away from your home to enjoy the scenery somewhere else. We need everybody to, you know, take the Public Health order seriously. Its not its not a joke. Paved pathways maintained by the county will remain open, but officials stress people need to follow social distancing guidelines. San francisco rec and parks tweeted a reminder that city playgrounds are closed. Ones that can be locked are, but officials remind everyone else not to go to any playgrounds at all. Parks and trails are still open for people to explore while practicing social distancing. In the south bay, Santa Clara County says the virus has spread now to 39 more patients. Abc7 News Reporter jr stone joins us with more on how the county is responding to covid19. Jr . Well, yeah, hospitals down here are some of the busiest locations here in Santa Clara County, and that includes the hospital directly behind me, the Santa Clara Valley medical center. Now, there is some good news to report in that there are Still Hospital beds that are available in some of the intensive care units in the county. The concerning part is that those 350 icu beds here in Santa Clara County are currently 75 to 80 full. 39 new cases today here in the county also two deaths, a woman in her 60s and a woman in her 40s. The chief executive officer of the county said this afternoon that they are in the process of putting an additional 290 beds in the icus. Federal officials are also expected to bring in 238 beds. I know there are a lot of numbers, but may made the point today that they are aware of the need for beds, and they are trying to address that the best they can. I dont know if its going to be enough. Heres what i know. I know that were going to work as hard as we can, as fast as we can to make sure that were doing everything we can to make it to get as much as we can, because we dont want a Single Person who needs a ventilator to not have one. And a little while ago, we drove by some of those medical tents that have previously been put up outside some of the hospitals. S. Public Health Service will set up a temporary hospital at the convention center. It will be up for up to 250 people who do not have covid19 but need medical care. President trump has called for eight of these federal medical stations to be set up in california, providing 2,000 additional hospital beds. The bay area toll is approaching the 800 mark for confirmed cases of the virus. Two deaths reported this afternoon in Santa Clara County have pushed up the regional death toll to 13 now. That county continues to have the most number of confirmed cases in the bay area now north of 300. Napa county has its first two confirmed coronavirus cases. Officials will not release details due to privacy requirements, but they say there is no known connection between the two cases. They do say a legal order has been issued for the patients to isolate and for close contacts of the patients to quarantine. A power outage left one of the busiest Grocery Stores in San Francisco in the dark this afternoon. The safeway in the Marina District lost power at about 3 00.
