Governor newsom announced today california has secured thousands of hotel rooms to house the states Homeless Population during the pandemic. The governor says the state has secured nearly 11,000 rooms. He says about 4,200 people are already off th streets and out of shelters. Motel 6 is helping out by committing 47 motels in 19 counties. Speaking from a motel 6 in campbell, the governor appealed to cities that are blocking state efforts to help the homeless. Just want to encourage those cities that are blocking efforts like this to consider theirselves in the context of others, to consider their actions in the context of their communities, to consider their actions in the context and annals of history.
