And San Francisco also began curfew tonight during those same hours. The city leaders say that curfew will be extended indefinitely. San jose is ordering people to stay home from 8 30 p. Now, after the curfew went into that crowd out of the area, near city hall. But within the last hour, things have gotten busy here in the city. This curfew is currently in effect. San Francisco Police with several individuals detained just after 10 00 p. M. , near sixth and market. The latest in what has been a very active night all across the bay area. This looting caught on video at the bayfair mall in san leandro around 8 45 sunday night. Dozens of people storming into the designer shoe warehouse, and the ulta beauty location next door, looters going in and out for several minutes, and no sign of police that they did. So officers would eventually make it to the store. Most if not all of the looters had left the area. The looting started well before that in walnut creek, just before 6 00 p. M. , looters fighting amongst each other, for the clothes they had just taken. Eventually, packing the items into their car, and driving off. The target store on main street, and the macys store on Broadway Plaza hit by looters. We were there as officers arrived and made their way into the store through the broken glass. Just after 6 30 in the evening, reports of looting came in at the best buy in pleasant hill. When we arrived, you could see the heavy police presence. To oakland we go. Just past 7 00 p. M. A sky 7 arrived, on a dozen looters that stormed out of the shoe palace location, and some packing their cars and hitting the road. But not everyone got away. At least one arrest was made. And it was all caught on video. You can see, as the mans hands are up in the air. While hundreds of people were involved in a peaceful rally sunday afternoon, in San Francisco, just after 8 00 p. M. , dozens of officers in riot gear cleared that area away from city hall. Reporter there are two videos of the officer that have exploded on twitter and tonight, they had an impact at San Jose City hall. Friday in san jose, 33yearold san jose Police Officer jared appears ready for action, swaying with his projectile launcher, his demeanor draws a reaction from the crowd. They have a smile on their faces. He runs away and back and says Andrea Pritchett is a Founding Member of berkeley cop watch. He was escalating an already making it worse, and thus endangering members of the public. Reporter in a second video, a woman asks him, why are you on that side . He answers seconds later, he reaches around another officer and fires a projectile. The scuffle is on. Cop watch points out those projectiles can be dangerous fired that way. They are a crowd control weapon. Theyre meant to disburse crowds, and theyre not meant to be fired at close range. Those videos spread across twitter today. And this evening, san joses police chief announced he has removed the officer from street duty and under an internal affairs investigation. Im not happy with his actions. Im sure if he was sitting here, we be embarrassed as well but i will tell you, i know jared, and he is a good kid who made a mistake and let his emotions get the better of him. The only a on the san jo city counci the officer should not be fired. We have to see and call out wrong, but we need to provide space to win peoples hearts and minds, and allow them a chance to atone, and to win allies, as we continue on the righteous act. A walnut creek woman had quite a square tonight. She was inside a store as it was being looted. Shaner massey was at the walgreens and said she was picking up a prescription for her child when more than 75 people stormed inside and started taking alcohol and whatever they could grab. Massey took this video the moment the looters came innd e terrified. And i have three kids. I was terrified. I was really lucky to run and find the emergency exit door. She was still shaking hours after. Massey says that it was even scarier once she got outside because there were more looters and more cars speeding everywhere. Thousands of people joined together in oakland during a car caravan demanding justice for george floyd. Sky 7 shows us the cars lined up near the port of oakland this afternoon, and that line went on for miles and miles. Drivers headed from the port into downtown, some of those cars, you can see there, had signs on them. They drove around lake merit, where cyclists and walkers then joined. And organizers say theyre not just protesting for floyd, but also for all black people who have died at the hands of police. That protest was peaceful, and as you can hear, loud. Cleanup efforts will continue across parts of San Francisco, this week, after this weekends protests led to violence and looting. It is literally picking up the pieces and starting a fresh. George and his wife drove from hercules drove to help clean up chards of glass in the parking lot. They had their own personal agenda. They were not marching, or walking peacefully, to support what is happening to us in the nation. Phillips says the destruction may take away from George Floyds death, but a part of him understands the destruction ma s is unfortunate but sometimes i think people feel this is the only way they can be heard. A local Business Owner in oakland says looters hit this chevron early this morning. He provided Surveillance Video to abc 7 showing people stealing from the store. He says he lost 50 of his business, due to the pandemic. And this is just not fair. A chase bank and a mercedesbenz dealership were among businesses that were vandalized and some looted. Friday night, along broadway and in oaklands chinatown neighborhood. Police say theyre using surveillance camera footage and other evidence to identify 40 to 60 looters. The fbi says it is taking a lead in the investigation into the killing of a federal protective Service Security officer, at a downtown oakland courthouse frooit friday night. 53yearold David Patrick underwood from pinol after being shot by a gunman in a passing van. Another Security Officer was wounded. The fbi says teams are scouring the area for evidence. A memorial to underwood has gone up outside the courthouse guard station. You can still see. We start out with a lot of cloud cover, fog along the coast, for our monday, and then we will find decreasing clouds, throughout the morning, so the afternoon, looking much different, a lot of sunshine, and clear skies, and temperatures warmer than today, in the 70s, and mid80s. Away from the coast. So a close look at highs, 83 in concord, with a lot of sunshine in the afternoon tomorrow, and 78 in san jose.
