Essentially the county is saying enough with the baby steps, they took a huge leap forward Effective Immediately almost all businesses have been given the green light to reopen. This means San Mateo County is now officially in stage three. Salons, bars, casinos, hotels and Indoor Dining all cleared to reopen. The county Health Officer made the unexpected change to the health order wednesday. The announcement caught many Business Owners by surprise like the owners of black and gold barber lounge in daly city. The Atlanta Police department is now dealing with a number of sick calls from the department now that the officers involved in the shooting are facing charges. So here is what weve also learned this morning. Yesterday the Fulton CountyDistrict Attorney announced 11 charges against former Police Officer garrett rolfe. He is the one who shot brooks twice in the back on friday. And another officer Devon Brosnan is charged with aggravated assaults. This isnt like a celebration or a victory lap of watching these officers get charged. Nobody is happy, nobody is celebrating because this never should have happened. Police body and dash cam footage shows what happened the night brooks was killed. Police say brooks resisted arrest after failing a sobriety test. He took a taser and while running away reached back to point at the officer and that is when rolfe opened fire. Rolfes lawyer says his client heard a sound like a gunshot and fearing for his safety fired his gun. Prosecutors also accuse rolfe of kicking brooks while he was on the ground and also are accusing rolfes partner of standing on brooks arm after the shooting. In oakland, young people led this event billed as a black and brown solidarity march. They went from Moss Wood Park to city hall. Organizers are calling for defunding the oakland Police Department among other items. And a group in napa rallied to support Law Enforcement. There was also a counterprotest. Her is more on that. Reporter hundreds showed up wednesday evening in napa for an event called we back blue in support of officers and deputies. What happened to george floyd was wrong. But to say well Defund Police or eliminate them . That is insanity. Im 100 against defunding the police. I think that they do a Wonderful Service for us and so i am in support of them. Federal investigators say the pilot of the helicopter that crashed in the thick fog killing kobe bryant and eight others on board may have been disoriented.
