Two San Francisco supervisors are introducing a proposal calling for the city to declare juneteenth an official city holiday. We have now a National Movement and i think a national awakeninhe way in which racism and injustice are baked into our society at all levels, and so many are waking up to that. San francisco usually celebrates juneteenth with a parade through western additione of the pandemic. In the south bay we were there for a youth organized march in san jose with thousands of people fighting for Racial Justice all culminating with the black power statue at san diego state. The woman who brought them all together, Shay Franco Clausen who created the youth group to speak out against racism. Together they organized but had turn out would be this big. The students took that call and ran with it. Were crying on stage because im overwhelmed with happiness. Reporter thousands marched from Santa Clara University all races, all ages, all afternoon. It was probably a breaking point for a lot of people. Reporter some of the marchers also stopped at San Jose City hall where those driving or just walking by honked their support. Everybody is voting for black lives matter. With the discrimination their black friends face every day. As a white person where do have the privilege of coming into these areas and feel same while a lot of my friends were black. I just learned what it was this year. And that day he was released back into the wild near the Crystal Springs reservoir on the peninsula. And thats where he is now. So the trend will be for the hot weather inland and the Cool Temperatures at the coast. The rest of monday notice 70s around the bay. Tuesday were still hot inland, were pleasant around the bay. Look wha happens on wednesday. Were even hotter, one of the warmest days of the week.
