The San Francisco Unified School District will have its first day of classes today and because of covid19 concerns, they will be doing Distance Learning. So most studentszoom cla on a l. According to a deal reached between the School District and the teachers union, students will get at least two hours of live instruction every day. Since march the district has distributed more than 13,000 chrome books and set up more than 3,000 hot spots all in an effort to get students connected. Students who do not have access to computers will be able to connect to their teachers on the phone. South San Francisco students also go back to school today. Classes were supposed to start last wednesday, but the district pushed it back to today. Schools will use Distance Learning as well at least for the first three weeks. The plan is to bring them back in phases only if the conditions allow. So if that happens, students will be split into two groups. They would attend inperson classes on alternating schedules two days a week and then learn from home the other three days.
