Ill talk more about the hennessey fire coming up. Lets get to reggie for more on that right now. Mike, thank you. Happening now, hundreds of firefighters battling this wildfire in wine country. So this is video of the hennessey fire from overnight. It broke out yesterday morning. It exploded in size in the afternoon. Its burning to the east of san helena and rutherford. Grown to 2,400 acres with zero containment. Evacuation orders are in effect in the area. Some people are choosing to stay. Abc7 News Reporter Amy Hollyfield is live this morning. Amy . Goodern morning were in st helena and authorities behind me have sage canyon road blocked off. This is the area that is being impacted. They have evacuated about 205 homes in this area. We do have new video in from overnight. We want to get to right away. It shows that this fire is still raging. Sometimes you will see a fire lie down overnight and not this one. It is still going strong. The hennessey fire is burning east of st. Helena in central napa county. Firefighters are staging at Hennessey Ridge road here in the area. It started yesterday morning, but really took off in the afternoon. As officials ordered evacuations, though, some residents said they wanted to go ahead and stay behind to try and protect their property. We are going to stay here as long as we can. If it gets unsafe, we will leave. Let the sprinklers run and hope for the best. As of last night rsh fire Officials Say it burned 2,400 acres but we do expect to get an update on the acreage at 7 00 this morning. So, within the hour, they also will be giving us an update on the firefight. The weatherorning a to be a bit helpful giving them a hand. It is not windy this morning. So far it burned at least 600 acres west of brooks near berryessa knoxville road. At last check, no evacuation orders have been issued there. A cluster of fires in Contra Costa County make up the fire. Evacuationered oers a ereorders and no containment. We all need to get prepared for rotating Power Outages this afternoon. A flex alert is in effect from 3 00 to 10 00 today and youre being asked to help conserve that means tng like 78 so that degrees and unplugging things youre not using and keeping your refrigerator closed as much as possible. Some people in san jose have been dealing with Power Outages for days. Pg e says some of the outages not due to rolling blackouts but putting the blame on the weekend weather. The worst part is the frustration of not getting any warning and not getting any answers. We had the same message online from pg e since friday. Now, among the issues from the heat, blown transformers adding to the frustration the areas that suffered these outages are not exempt from the rolling outagesld c again t and tomorrow. Thats where your best sleeping weather is. The rest of us in the mid 60s and a whole lot of 70s inland and even 80s in our mountains. You can see even though we lose some heat, warmer than average. Well get rid of the 100s for one day thursday. Come back friday and then gets even hotter sunday and then you throw in hotter temperatures and that humidity monday.
