Theyre actively investigating the 200 block of north fork Crystal Springs road right off silverado trail. They did not provide any other details. Ama, we have had very little wind up here in napa county for the past several days, but despite that, it has still been a very active fire night and firefighters could potentially have a very busy night and day ahead of them. Fires visible in every direction from highway 29 in calistoga, the napa valley floor surrounded by flames and saturated in smoke on day four of the glass fire. Its just incredible. Its been a massive fire. And weve never seen anything like this. Reporter the flames are dangerously close to hugo maldonados small family winery. D. C. 10s and helicopters worked until sunset, dropping retardant and water on the fire which has been burning relentlessly across the hillsides. The whole wine industry, weve had a really hard time this year and were all just praying that the Fire Department and cal fire that they all get it under control. Reporter were up on Diamond Mountain road right now. You can see the fire is burning right here in the forest. This flank of the fire is farther south on the west side of highway 29 in saint helena. Its a heavily wooded area and there are just spots of fire all over the place. Were going to head back down the mountain and get out of here. Most residents are evacuated, while firefighters work nonstop to save their neighborhoods. Our guys have gone anywhere from 96 hours to 102 hours straight before their first break. Thats actual physical work for that long. Reporter tim edwards is a cal firefighter and president of their union. He says firefighters have been working for the past eight weeks. Unfortunately, were getting those calls of, you know, they feel take liar going get divorces because their spouses are stressed out because theyre not coming home.
