Pg e is warning of another round of Fire Prevention shutoffs this week. 50,000 customers could lose electricity as early as tomorrow night. Here in the bay area 7,000 homes and businesses in six counties could see outages. The areas near mt. Diablo could be most impacted potentially. People all over the bay area are preparing for this right now. Amy hollyfield is live in danville with more on this. This is the section of the east bay that could get hit and also sections of marin county that are included in this warning. Officials have even closed fairfax through the mt. Tam water shed at least until wednesday because of the threat of fire. We talked to one resident in marin county who welcomed the power shutoffs if it will make the area safer. We do get the warning quite a bit these days it seems like. But as i said before, it is for our safety and and if it helps prevents more fires and what happened in santa rosa and what is going on right now, im all for it. Turn the power off for a few days rather than wasting billions of dollars in fire damage. Pg e is warning it might shut the power off to stop the equipment from sparking a fire in the windy, hot, dry conditions. Residents are getting pretty used to this and getting pretty good preparing for these shutoffs saying theyre filling the freezer with ice and keeping the phones charged and enjoying the outdoor time since that tv will not be able to be turned on. Pulled the lady out of her car and threw her in the street. Reporter that caller continued to follow vargas, stay on the phone with police and watch what sounds like another attempted car jacking. Stay away from her. Reporter Police Arrived moments later and body camera video shows the encounter. Vargas is seen running and officers yell for him to stop and drop the knife he was holding.
