I think its going to be another warm one. It was pretty warm yesterday, mike. It will be warmer than average again today. Welcome back, reggie, kumasi, jobina. The cooling trend is on schedule. However our critical fire conditions thankfully are a bit slower to develop. So theres some good news to start the day with. We still have historically low fuels. That means the vegetation is drier than average at historic levels. So the fire danger is still high. Thats why we have the red flag warning until 8 00 tomorrow. Lets look at the winds. The bulk of the outages are in napa county. Thats where we find Amy Hollyfield. Shes in calistoga. The lights are on right now, but pg e is forecasting that there will be Power Outages here today and residents are very prepared. Pg e has put out the warning to calistoga that the power might be shut off this morning to try to prevent wildfires from starting. Residents here filled up gas cans so they could power their generators so they could try and keep their lights on. One restaurant is determined to keep running even without power. The owner of local q 707 restaurant has generatorers and a tent to set up outside so they can keep cooking food for their customers. Since the fires, basically since the 28th, weve pretty much only worked two days a week because they keep turning off the power. Its unfortunate not to have a full paycheck for a full week period. Thats why were doing the best we can to keep it open. Residents tell us they understand the need to be proactive against the start of wildfires, but they say its tough dealing with these blackouts. Saying what is really annoying is paying for the gas for these generators and listening to the constant hum of them all over town. Reporting live in calistoga, Amy Hollyfield, abc7 news. Thank you.
