Heading into the afternoon hours, you can see that area of low pressure and the showers and thunderstorms. Look at the orange, the yellow, down to green. Thats light to moderate to almost heavy downpours developing in the north bay and sliding across the rest of our neighborhoods in the afternoon and evening hours. Vote counting continues in georgia along with four other prized states in the race to collect 270 electoral votes. Those other states are nevada, arizona, North Carolina and pennsylvania. In arizona, with 11 electoral votes, joe biden leading President Trump by more than 47,000 votes. Georgia has 16 local votes, biden leading there by 1,096 votes. Now, in nevada, six electoral votes, biden leading there by more than 11,000 votes. The largest gap is in North Carolina where President Trump is leading with nearly 77,000 votes. There are 15 electoral votes there. And in pennsylvania, which has the largest number of electoral votes, 20, the president leading there by more than 18,000 votes. Theres growing frustration among trump supporters, many making unfounded claims about fraud. Philadelphia Police Stopped an attack after receiving a tip about a Group Driving to pennsylvania to target the Convention Center where votes are being counted. Officers recovered a weapon and impounded a hummer with a qanon detail and hat inside. In phoenix, arizona, hundreds of trump supporters, some of them armed, rallied to stop the vote count as alex jones cheered them on. A similar rally took over the streets in southern nevada. For the first time in decades the National Guard was deployed to control a riot in portland, oregon. In the interest of Public SafetyGovernor Kate Brown under advised of the unified campaign activated use of the oregon National Guard. Protesters lit a fire at city hall and targeted a commissioners home. Police also reported violence breaking out in new york city. 18 people were arrested there. Happening today, Stanislaus County attorneys are headed back to court to seek the Death Penalty for scott peterson. Peterson will appear over zoom. The county is retrying the penalty phase of the trial after his former sentence was thrown out by the States Supreme Court over an impartial jury. San mateo superior court is taking up the issue of the conviction itself. Scott peterson was found guilty of killing his pregnant wife, laci, in 2004. Oakland police say they arrested more than two dozen people believed to be part of the roving caravans of robbers targeting east bay businesses. Officers recovered four guns and high capacity magazines. Now these looters have struck nearly a dozen times since monday hitting stores in san lorenzo, emeryville, rich land and oakland. Its moved from north to south in about two hours time. Heres the low that will come in later today and bring us that chance of some showers. Its also bringing us high surf from 2 00 this afternoon through midnight. Swells could reach 22 feet with very erratic waves and very gusty winds at our beaches. Blowing sand and blowing waves.
