Harris by his side saying he expects to be declaring soon that he will be winning the presidency. President trump not speaking, thank you forjoining us, im liz kreutz and we have much more ahead on the election as we all wait for a winner to be projected, but first as we wait lets start with a quick look at the weather. Heres meteorologist lisa argen. Good morning, lisa. Liz, good morning. It feels like december out there. Forget november. Weve got pretty cold weather, temperatures below average, even chillier today with north westerly winds. Theres live doppler 7. Not all of that is real, those dots, but this is real. Were looking at showers down towards santa cruz, Boulder Creek area. Scotts valley, the system missed us, went off the ocean and you can see the circulation pulling into the San Joaquin Valley and parts of Southern California. Lucky them. It is 34 on top of mout. Diablo. 45 Pleasant Hill and upper elevations are cool with some clouds. They could be cooler in spots. 37 napa. 50 in San Francisco. 47 in pacifica. A lot colder than it was yesterday morning. The cold air got in place yesterday, settled in, and we are ten to 19 degrees colder all across the bay area. North winds are driving that chilly air down to the surface. Its a dry wind, of course. And you can see how breezy it is on top of mt. Diablo. Were still concerned about the dry air, the breezy winds that will result later on this afternoon. And were going to see winds kicking up to about 30 miles an hour. Those breezes will continue. Not only through the evening hours, but into your sunday as well. So the weekend is featuring sunshine, brisk winds, chilly numbers, below average as we go through noontime were in the 50s coastside, upper 50s elsewhere, and then by 4 00 in the afternoon, not much has changed. So get the jacket out there, youll need the sunglasses, and the changes are on our sevenday outlook. Ill share them with you in a few minutes. Liz . Lisa, thank you. And vote counting is still under way and beginning again this morning. Abc 7 News Reporter matt boone has the latest. Reporter all eyes were on wilmington, delaware as joe biden took the stage, still confident in his chances. Were going to win this race with a clear majority with the nation behind us. Reporter before biden hit the stage President Donald Trump tweeted this warning, quote, joe biden should not wrongfully claim the office of president. I could make that claim also. Legal proceedings are just now beginning. Bidens path to victory, even clearer if he manages to hang onto pennsylvania and the 20 Electoral College votes there, he crosses the line to 270. Its over. He could also take nevada and arizona, that would bring him over the line as well. For President Trump to win he must clinch pennsylvania and at least three of the other remaining states. While some including the president continue to spew baseless claims of fraud, claims for which his team has not produced one iota of evidence, what we have seen in philadelphia is democracy, pure and simple. Abc news chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl spoke about meadows during a special report. We have seen him on capitol hill not wearing a mask. We have seen him constantly, every once in a while he throws a mask on but he is somebody who seems to take some degree of pride in not wearing a mask. The Trump Campaign battleground states director nick traynor has also tested positive for coronavirus. So have four white house staffers. The white house has not responded to a request for comment. This biden supporter was surprised to hear the numbers. I didnt realize there was that many Trump Supporters here. Reporter at this Grocery Store parking lot in fairfield its not at all difficult to walk up to people, strike up a conversation and find trump supporter who are willing to talk. Some, even mentioned theyve gotten some backlash on social media for their views. And i never would have thought in a million years that i would get some of the commentary on me just having a different opinion. Me not being liberal. Reporter i supported trump. But a lot of people say thats racist, even though he did mention hes going to donate 500 plus billion towards black communities. With people on facebook, they bad mouth trump, and i always say President Trump, hes our president. Just like tomorrow if biden is our president , i will say president biden. Reporter going into the weekend there could be more visible reactions. Im getting calls from organizers at the grassroots in napa, solano. Were getting calls in brinn county and Southern California. We got final results on prop 18 which should fail. This would have allowed 17yearold californians to vote in primaries as long as they would have turned 18 before the general election. Now several propositions are still too close to call right now with ballots still being counted. Those include prop 14, which authorizes billions in general bonds to go to stem cell research, and prop 15, an increase in commercial property taxes for Education Funding and prop 19 which would let homeowners 55 and older pay lower property taxes if they move while raising taxes for some people with inherited property. Six propositions, including prop 18 that we mentioned, failed to get enough support. Also struck down was prop 16, which would have restored affirmative action. Prop 20 which was about parole restrictions. 21 was a rent control measure, 23 would have created requirements for kidney dialysis clinics, and prop 25 would have eliminated the cash bail system. So far three propositions have passed. Prop 17 restores the right to vote after a prison term. Prop 22 classifies app drivers as contractors, a big win for the rideshare companies, uber and lyft, and prop 24, amends Consumer Privacy law.
