Purple is not a complete shutdown. The stores at this mall would be allowed to stay open but they would have to cut down on the number of people allowed inside in half. This was announced in a Facebook Post. This was post ed by s by s by sy supervisor saying that the states Public Health officer told her they will move to the purple tier today and they may be calling for a curfew later this week. The purple tier means gyms cannot allow people inside anymore, same with restaurants. Indoor dining would be shut down. The purple tier has changed a bit. Nail salons and hair salons can still stay open. Originally when this was created this reopening plan, they were not allowed to reopen in the purple tier. The supervisor who made the Facebook Post said private parties and gatherings where masks are not worn is the cause for the increase in covid cases. She said religious gatherings are the second largest cause. She says she knows people are tired of this but that we all need to do our part so the community can stay healthy and so businesses can stay open. Nearly a dozen uc davis returning members are being quarantined because of coronavirus. Officials think this is due to a party. Ten people got infected, some on campus say students should be more responsible. Partying in these times is selfish. I dont understand why people are doing it, if we all stayed inside, quarantined, didnt party right now we could all get you the of this quicker.
