No word yet so far, but you can see an active scene over my shoulder. A large Police Presence, we are about a block or a half block or so. What we know is this all happened around 8 00 p. M. Last night. Two people stabbed. We know two people have died from those injuries. San jose police confirming no Church Services were happening at the time. This church is located near san jose state, just a block away from the Student Services center. Its unclear if the school was placed on lockdown given the proximity to the crime scene. According to police, the Grace Baptist Church often took in Homeless People off the streets to get them out of the cold. Its unclear if the two People Killed were homeless. Ive seen people apparently homeless gathering there for food or whatever services they were offering. I didnt i was not aware they were actually providing overnight residence for the homeless. The man you heard from there has lived in san jose since 1985. He says hes never seen anything quite like this happen in his neighborhood. We are expecting an update from San Jose Police this morning. We do know the two people who have lost their lives are the 40th and 41st homicide victims of 2020. Astrazeneca is announcing overnight its vaccine is up to 90 effective. Jobina has the just released data. Astrazeneca has been working with Oxford University to develop a covid19 vaccine. The latest trial results show that the vaccine is up to 90 effective and thats encouraging here. So vaccine trial participants were split into two groups. One group was given a half dose of the vaccine followed by a full dose one month later. That was 90 effective. The other group was given two full doses of the vaccine about a month apart. This was 62 effective. The average of both groups returned a 70 efficacy rate. 42 of americans according to a poll are not willing to be vaccinated. Dr. Jerome adams was on gma this morning asking people to trust approved vaccines. We have not cut any safety corners. Most reassuring thing i can say to you, america, when they tell me that i can get the vaccine, i will get it because i know thats the best way to protect myself and to protect my family and my community.
