History, just a small percent of the fire zone has been scorched search, with officials describing troubling scenes as they try to find and identify remains. According to the pacific disaster center, more than 2200 structures were damaged or destroyed on maui, and the town was decimated in a matter of a few hours. Melissa hayden has the latest from maui where some of the locals are starting to show frustration. Teams continue to search the rubble of the Historic Town of lahaina, looking for victims or possible survivors of the deadly fires which tore through parts of maui tuesday. This is the largest Natural Disaster we have ever experienced. It is also going to be a Natural Disaster which is going to take an incredible amount of time to recover from. More than 22 hundred structures damage, the flames burning more than 2100 acres. Patients, prayers, and perseverance. That is what we needs. Me. Many expressing anger at the local government. One pallet at a time, bay area dockworkers determined to get at least one container filled and set to sea, providing muchneeded supplies to those devastated in the maui wildfires. Toiletries, feminine products, clothing, garbage bags, pet food. This is a member of International Longshore and warehouse union, and she says it is expected to take about 13 days for this shipment to dock. This container will go to the port of oakland and be loaded on the ship, and go to hawaii. The container, located at mason street, capturing the attention of San Francisco tourists.
